When I saw burnt eardrum I knew it would be this poor guy. Newly qualified or not, that nurse should never have been a nurse. Obvious lack of any common sense. All this person had to do was think “would I put this burning hot oil in my ear? No, maybe I shouldn’t put it in this guys ear either.” Genuinely makes me so mad the amount of suffering he had to go through.

obviously on a 12 hour shift once again. Did you know most medical students are trained hours that are generally illegal for working? And yet, they are, really. Yea, blame the medical student lmao stupidest fucking shit I have heard all day. Almost guarantee you that is nowhere near the actual person who made the error's fault. If he were in a place to make that error he should have been asleep at home. Why weren't they? Ask that instead and get some meaningful answers instead of only having empathy for a random patient. People suffer and die every day, at least the medical student was trying to do something about it instead of being someone in a chair crying about shit.

Well done Taylor. It’s great to see your progression, not only as an audiologist but as a narrator. I imagine the latter is the more difficult of the two for you. If I can pass on any advice, advice that worked for me in the realm of public speaking, is that you could try to imagine you’re describing this procedure to someone close to you. Imagine they’re right in front of you during the recording. This takes away the power of thousands of people watching it when you envision someone who makes you feel at ease. I’ve used it in big lectures and it’s brilliant. Just a thought. Whether you use it or not, I have no doubt that you’ll be firing these off as smoothly as Rhys. Keep up the awesome work!
