Okay. Just finished. So good man. Great points about opening up the projects. Reverse engineering the stuff going on under the hood majorly helped me learn the Maschine workflow and its routing back in the day.

I never load projects but often load in kits i like with patterns and then edit. I change sounds. I change midi. Some patterns i leave as is if they work together. Often im using three or four different kits with various layers on and then duplicating them out to 8-16 measure loops. Add some turn arounds and fills etc. Its a nice way to break creative block and also have some great starting points. Recently I’ve been using loopcloud and making some of my own along with just looking at expansions samples and loading those. Anything i can do to mix up my workflow for variety.

For years I’ve been using the drum patterns to start. I make them as basic as possible to not influence too much. I also may delete the hi hat pattern and replace it with a pattern from another kit. I can play keys and guitar but playing/programming drum patterns from scratch isn’t my strongest attribute but if I’m using a sample it’s way easier. Great stuff as always

Another great product overview. I'm wondering if you, or anyone monitoring the comments, if NI plans on doing anything for Black Friday. I want to pull the trigger on the Maschine MK3 but don't want to do it ahead of any holiday season sale. Thoughts anyone?

Nice, enjoy them! One thing I noticed is a lot of the Stacks patches have lfo on the tuning, just click on the “sound” tab, then click on the word lfo1, then CTRL click (pc) or CMD click (Mac) on the little slider that pops up next to the tune knob. Just in case you don’t want the warbly pitch!

Hey Jef. Are you able to show more interaction of the Maschine plugin with the DAW? I have a Mikro and am struggling to find support on how to use it with the DAW instead of recording direct in to Maschine. I've been to MaschineTutorials, Groove3, YT, Obedia and no one really explains that workflow. Any suggestions? Thanks!

This is where I’m at to. These sound kits are undeniably good ; it’s just I don’t feel inspired by them . Like I only need so many boom bap, NY state of mind kits … As far as sounds that do inspire me , I like the UK drill/grime sounds, 2step sounds, DnB, Jungle, Subfocus type sounds.
