At the end of "A House Is Not A Home," it appears that Burt is very pleased with the outcome of that performance, was enjoying it himself. What an incredible feeling that must have been for him, his works played to perfection!
A true National Treasure. His corpus of work will stand the test of time. Bravo Burt, you are my favorite

I was at this show. It was a really special evening. The version of A House Is Not Home gave me goosebumps. The best songs were when Burt was singing. The gig far exceeded my expectations. Sometimes seeing your heroes live can be a letdown. But if anything, I have even more admiration for him after this show. Truly in a class of his own.

I had the privilege of hearing him perform with Dionne Warwick twice in Baltimore in the late 1990's overlooking the harbour. The man never left the stage over a 2 hour concert. Between them, it was the most generous gift of music I've ever experienced in a concert. The second time, I was able to take my Mom - just a few years before she died. It was so special for both of us. I'll never forget it.

My parents loved Burt Bacharach, his music always filled our home in the 60's. When they were getting divorced, my dad said to me, "This is just a house, not a home", I was young then and didn't really understand what he meant, but as I grew older, I did. That song told the whole story.

When they got to "A House Is Not A Home" (the saxophone solo transition), everyone over the age of 50 remembered the good old days of American pop music. Stevie, I think I'll post w/you. Burt B.was born to do exactly what he did with his life, namely, write beautiful songs and with Hal David on the lyrics grab our hearts and souls. So many gems. And interestingly, I prefer seeing Burt perform his own tunes over anyone else. There's something so charming about the raspy voice and heartfelt rendition of the lyrics that is just beautiful. Bacharach and David gave it their all and we were the beneficiaries. Live and be well Burt. RIP Hal.

I saw him about this same time in Pittsburgh with the Pittsburgh Symphony and he had the same singers. He is amazing, and as you can see his love of music hasn’t diminished. He wrote the soundtrack of our lives. The first time I saw him was on an afternoon TV show in the early 60’s and I thought, this guy can’t sing a lick! The shear weight of his contribution to American music probably won’t ever be repeated.

Since 1969 when I first heard "Rain drops keep falling on my head", and I was 14 years old Mr. Bacharach has been the composer of the soundtrack of my life. Today I knew that he is coming to Bogotà in January 31st. 2018 and make his first presentation in Colombia, and I am going to Europe on Jan 26th. What an irony, I won`t be able to be here for his presentation. I am sooo sad.
