Thank you for the updated review! The clip at the end is great. The good old days of TGR when only the website was there. Thank you for keeping one of the best gear reviews that we have. Greetings from 30 degrees hot Germany where currently soccer is the only topic 😅

Great video Man. Great channel. Great website very helpful figuring out gear. Some smooth riding at the 45 second mark. Nice addition of the three of you guys at the end. I have a custom camber and a custom flying v and i couldn't agree more ie Flying v for playful riding in ideal conditions. Custom camber for everything else. You have pointed out in your videos that the flying v can give you an unexpected unpleasant frigidity jolt from time to time that can freak one out. Like you might wash out or catch an edge and then you regain control. I finally experienced that and hope to never again. I was going fast toward the bottom of a hill where various snow conditions overlapped and that fidget happened on the heel side on my back foot. Is there something I can do to prevent that? Tune edges better? Detune contact points? Bad form? Thanks for the videos. In addition to being helpful they bring inspiration and excitement in between rides.

Many thanks! Greatly appreciated. Unfortunately that is just a problem with how Flying V's camber profile can track on snow. The only solution is to try to never flat base and always stay on edge or just sell it and get a different board that's forgiving but with camber between the feet and rocker before the nose/tail. It will feel like the Custom Camber but be forgiving and not feel loose/autospinny. It is about riding technique too but getting something camber dominant like I just mentioned will help you work on your form without that feeling. If you want to get into it more, hit me here to give me the info I need to help you much better. shop.thegoodride.com/merchandise/gear-advice/

Burton Flying V was always my least favorite camber profile that they made. I miss their S Camber boards for powder, but they discontinued those in favor of Directional Camber instead which is pretty different. I still have my 2013 Burton Barracuda with the S Camber in a board closet in my house, but I admittedly don’t take it out very often because I have so many other boards with newer tech that I prefer to ride on a powder day

That was such a great board for the time.

@@thegoodridesnow yeah, I love how surfy the Barracuda is, turns off the front foot, yet rides off the rear foot. It’s a real shame they aren’t making new S Camber boards with the latest tech

Have you tried the Moss Jellyfish? You might like that if you liked the Barracuda.

@@thegoodridesnow I haven’t ridden the Moss boards yet, I was considering buying Winterstick, Gentemstick, and Moss powder boards in the upcoming season though. Those are all pretty pricey but seem like they’re worth the money
