This is a good idea. Revisiting some bows, years later

I think it's great to do reviews after a year. In fact the bow looks spectacular but you shoot it awesome 👌 😊

Armin, I am still enjoying my Assyrian Bogar bow thanks to you! Cheers old boy.....

This bow really gets my juices pumping! I've had it on my mind since the first review. It's an impressive bow! I was excited to see your one year update!!! It looks like a Manchu and an Assyrian bow had a baby. I love the draw length. It's definitely on my short list! Thanks for all your fun reviews! You consistently bring the world of Traditional Asiatic Archery to countless people around the planet! What a blessing!😊🏹🎯

bought this bow after Armin‘s test last year. nice to shoot, accurate, great looking bow, but kicks massively. would recommend the hou yi that I own, too. Much smoother and relaxing than the buryat which is a beast.
@ramonpaellah623311 ай бұрын
Nice feedback. How does the hou yi compares in terms of accuracy and torsion stability ?
@ArminHirmer11 ай бұрын
the bow has big string bridges, it has to kick... just like a manchu :)

firstly, Thank You for the knowledge You have shared with us so freely, i very much appreciate what You have taught i about the art of traditional archery. but what i want to share is this, i feel that a cushioned handlebar wrap from the cycling industry makes for a better handle wrap on traditional bows, that is what i choose to use anyway and for example i use it on top of the leather wrap that came with the metbow i have and sure enough i can throw arrows with her all day no worries. i also use some from the same roll on the Rolan snake bow i have. as well as being better for cushioning it also has the advantage of adding to the decoration of the bows, the snake bow for instance is of course aesthetically pleasing for i minimalist tastes but with the wrap i use she is stunning whilst now sporting a black and yellow camouflage effect on the handle. anyway Wishing the best of times for You and your family, may our arrows ever fly straight and True, mind how You go Brother Thank You 😊.

I accidentally found better shoulder alignment just yesterday. I was shooting backwards, lower torso and legs facing away from the target. Twisting backwards to make my shots and the alignment just fell into place. It felt way stronger and way steadier. Was able to hold full draw for way longer without tiring. Was making better shots. It just clicked into place. Got even better when I went back to my regular stance while still employing my new found shoulder alignment. What an experience when it comes together like that.

Great bow, only thing i dislike are the red stripes, also there Is a video of Peter testing a manchu, can't wait to see that one.

Hey friend, which do you think is the best Turkish bow? In terms of FPS and durability.
@ArminHirmer11 ай бұрын
many great ones, cant tell which is best. I would go with short Turkish by Nawalny :)

I bought this bow at 36# after seeing your first video. I also own a Bogar Assyrian at 31#. I like the Buryat but it isn't as high quality as the Assyrian in my experience. The bow derailed about 5-7 times during the first 1500 shots. I reported the problem to Bogar. They had me check brace height but eventually the problem went away and now the bow hasn't derailed in a long time. One of the string bridges fell off in the first 500 shots. The bow is louder than my Bogar Assyrian. Do you know of any good ways to make it quieter? Thx for your recommendation.
@ArminHirmer11 ай бұрын
Of course it is louder with the string bridges :)

I made a new string for mine. (20 strands 8125, with at least 30 twists). Then I put some wool string silencers on it. It’s now extremely quiet and virtually no vibration at all. I’ve also wrapped the handle so the hand chock is also almost non existent. Absolutely love it.

very original concept, half assyrian and half manchoo bow, but as you noticed it, compared to Jackal and Sarmat, the handle is very thin, then not very comfortable @ 44-46# i think you had the same bow in 28#, perhaps is it more adapted to 3 or 4 hours on a parcours to be very precise over 25-30 meters (with 800 or 1000 spine) and if you use the bows with silencers like most users, it will give you a new point of view !

Since I put the rubber ring under the arrow pass it is more regular as it acts as a little arrow rest and guide for hand placement that does not change and is so small it does not impede or catch ..

Use some super glue on the flap of your glove. It will hold the flap in place.
