This is brilliant ! The couple said they had storage envy when others with buses would put out cotton candy machines (which does seem extravagant- even for a bricks and sticks house) but that bounce house is brilliant -what a way to insure your toddler has something to do and what a way to attract playmates - so smart ! And it’s (of course) an inflatable so it will collapse right down 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

A very professional looking conversion. They're correct about the ride & power of a coach vs a school bus. All that storage space is amazing, too. His solar setup is enviable. Lithium batteries would be better for running the AC, but that could add another $10,000 to the build. He could do conversions for a living.

Beautiful conversion. Lithium is the way to go for batteries - especially with that much PV. It doubles the amount of usable power at 1/2 the weight of AGM in the same footprint. At today's cost, it's a 50% premium over AGM which makes it a financial no-brainer from a return-on-invest perspective. You have a beautiful home. Well done!

how much do you think he spent on the original golf cart batteries and how much do you think a similar Lithium setup will cost? The name brand lithium batteries seem to be ridiculously expensive? Buses like this and house boats have used 8d batteries for years to run the electronics of an entire home. They usually last 10 years and are not expensive but weigh a ton. I would have probably went with 6 to 8 8d batteries. They probably weigh about 1000 pounds which may make the empty coach ride better.
@duncanjames914 Жыл бұрын
@@andrewsmith9980 If you're strictly speaking about the batteries... The upfront cost for the same amount of usable KWh's is approximately the same (given that lead acid can only safely be discharged by 50% - you require twice as many of them). However, the benefit of lithium is 5-10 times the number of duty cycles (i.e discharge/recharge), zero maintenance, and half the weight of conventional lead acid golf-cart batteries.

Never get why so many people just go with having separate water for drinking. All I did for my brothers shuttle bus conversion was run the water through a 3 filter cleaning stage to a spout so he didn't have to fill up random jugs for drinking water every week. He can last 2 weeks on his water that all goes to his sink, shower, outdoor hose and drinking water spout heck we even tapped a fuel line to his bus gas tank to power his diesel space heater. And if you ever build a conversion I suggest Fresair for the AC unit low power and puts out 35 degrees of cold air.

In a motorhome, which I've owned at least 12 of them, everything must be bolted to the floor or to the wall, and cabinet doors have to latch shut, they cannot be open. When that jar of mayonnaise hits your husband in the head when he slams the brakes on, that's called blunt force trauma, he can die because you won't put doors on the cabinet? Open pantry's work in houses, not in a vehicle that can do 50-65 mph, please smarten up. Do things safely, think about what you've done and think about how safe it is if the bus stopped suddenly. Seat belts are for all passengers, that bus going down the road cannot stop quick. Please just be careful and put doors on that pantry that latch shut, and will not open in an accident.

We’ve found the opposite to be true. Maintaining A bus isn’t hard or expensive. Where it does get expensive is when owners don’t do preventative maintenance and instead wait for things to break before fixing them. Another thing is that parking a bus is cruel and unusual punishment for a bus. If you’re buying it to park it most of the time, then possibly a trailer or RV is a better choice.
