Excellent video, Albert. Young drivers amaze me. You changed clothes, cooked a hot meal and took a nap, and put your uniform back on. I would have packed a lunch box or went to a restaurant and napped in the back seats by the restroom. Sometimes, I would put a chair in the lugage compartment. I didn't mind long days because I would go watch the sporting event. What I didn't like was line runs at 2 AM. in the morning in a semi dark bus. I didn't know who or what crazy was on my bus without any communications. Excellent video

This trip was sort of to the middle of nowhere, so I knew I had to bring my own meal! Early morning drives are not my style; I'm more of a late owl myself. Thanks for watching! :)

Hey Albert- this is what I didn't care for about the charter board- those long layovers... We had line runs to NYC where you were busy for your whole tour of duty, but I could seldom get one. I only lasted 6 months, then returned to trucking. Btw- I was Carl Bieber Tourways youngest driver too, 24 when hired, but I turned 25 soon afterwards. Retired now, so really enjoy your videos.

I don't mind the layovers myself, it's a good break in the middle of a trip for me 😅 Wow, that's pretty neat! Thanks for watching :)

@petermalanchuk82103 күн бұрын
@@alblua The DD13 is an excellent engine and was a popular workhorse in the three axle New Jersey Transit buses made by MCI, used up in Bergen County NJ in around 2004 -2012 when I lived up there in Park Ridge, NJ. Those MCI coaches had the 12.7 liter DD series 60 diesels in them and boy could they accelerate fast from a red stop light to green! They had Allison Automatics in them, too. If I owned a Prevost or MCI motor coach as a motor home, I'd specify a DD13 diesel engine without question.

I wonder if the Mercedes-Benz branded version of the engine rides and sounds the same.

Hi Alb! I was wondering what phone mount was that? Amazing video like always. You should do a video of what you bring on a longish trip. Your setup is sick.
@alblua3 күн бұрын
My phone holder is a Truckules heavy duty phone holder. As long as you keep the suction cup clean, it's hard to take off! I'll put that video idea on my to-do list in the future!

I can assure you it's called the Tourrider, it's the name on the back 😅 Daimler markets it as the Tourrider here in the US and it's based off the Tourismo in Europe, similar to the Travego
