I am here because I really do like this song, and Bush in general. In the 90's, I was well into the bread basket of my 30's, and preparing myself for my 40's. Growing up in the 60's, and 70's, I became accustomed to fine ROCK. It was so refreshing back then, in the 90's to know that there was still some remarkable music being produced out there. Now a classic, and myself in my sixth decade, I am hopelessly looking for the next generation of ROCK, as it should be, as it was then.

yes! I saw them in '99 at the 99.1 HFStival at Redskins Stadium. This took place After Woodstock in the fall. They sounded perfect. It was a phenomenal performance and as large as that venue was, with about 90,000 of us rock fans, the power of their music was 100 percent present. You could feel it assault you. They were the 3rd to last band. After them was Green Day, and the headliner was Limp Bizkit. Fred Durst declared to us halfway through their set that we were the best show they'd ever played...10 times better than woodstock he said. I'll never forget that day.

How many of us feel about the 90s is how many of our parents felt about the 60s/70s.....eye opener.
@ahhwe-any74342 жыл бұрын
You ever notice how some ppl romanticize decades they've never lived in. Like younger... generations. Or the next. Bc the 90s were just the 90s to me. I mean, sure it was special. Bc it was my youth, duh. But then again, I never would've compared it to anything else bc all I knew was just what I knew. I didn't really even give that many fs about history back then either, tbh :/. I was just young. I only wanted to think as far as I want to go but idk how to get there. But I think it would've been cool to live through the 60s. I think there's destruction in all times. But that wasn't really my point. It just seems like it would've been ironically more chill. But idk, I wasn't even alive back then either

In Fiji it was really hard to get albums back in the 90s. I couldn't order stuff in because we didn't have access to the net and the only was to get anything cool was to have friends and relatives bring it in with them when they visited from overseas. So imagine my joy when I found this Special 2 disc edition of Sixteen Stone sitting at a pawn shop. The 2nd disk had live and acoustic version of selected songs form the album. I played that CD to death. Not a huge fan of the new BUSH stuff, but Sixteen Stone, Razor blade Suitcase and The Science of Things albums are favourites till this day.

Just watched the doc on Woodstock ‘99 and Bush took an impossible situation and used their talent and artistry to change the energy of a raging crowd of somewhere around a quarter million people. Insane. It brought me back to when I was 13/14 and my huge crush on Gavin Rossdale which of course prompted me to tape his photos from every alternative music magazine on my bedroom wall lol. I memorized every song and was even obsessed with the movie Fear with Mark Wahlberg and Reese Witherspoon all because of “that” scene on the rollercoaster with Come Down playing. Ugh, the 90’s were such a pure, real music with real instruments and talent. I don’t think we will ever see a decade similar. I’m sad that this generation would rather make 30 second tik toks than learn how to play an instrument and start a band with their friends in a garage. They have no idea what they’re missing out on with their heads buried in their screens. Idc that I’m getting “old”, it’s a worthy trade to live it up in the dopest decade! Plus, I still look good af 😂😂🤷🏼♀️
