Bush does NOT get enough recognition. This entire album AND Razorblade Suitcase are masterpieces. Literally the English version of Nirvana. Whenever I ask best bands of the 90s nobody ever mentions Bush but comedown and glycerine stayed on the radio.
@davistalhone94822 жыл бұрын
English version of Nirvana - that's a good summary. I think that the whole era was just so packed with solid grunge (Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, STP, Soundgarden etc.) that a lot of good bands got lost in the proverbial shuffle.

How did they not. Howard Stern was huge in the 90s and constantly raved about them being his favorite band.
@ryanjansen87852 жыл бұрын
It seemed Sixteen Stone was a hit or even a blast. Swallowed debuted well, Greedy Fly did moderately so and I'm not sure the other three songs off of Razorblade Suitcase really made their marks. Then Bush's next 2 Cd's each had about 1 hit as best recalled, that got some recognition. Eah, huh what happened.... At least Razorback Suitcase seemed like another good replacement for Sixteen Stone.

Saw them at Reunion Arena for Edge X-Mas 1999. Blink 182, Powerman 5000, Bowling For Soup, and they were the headliner. They closed with this song and before he starts in with “I touch your mouth..” he threw his guitar into the stands and jumped into the crowd. The band kept repeating the guitar riff until he got back on stage, ran to the back to grab a new guitar, ran back out and jumped into the air and as soon as he landed, “I TOUCH YOUR MOUTH….!!!!” Blew the fucking roof off. I’m getting goose bumps thinking about it. Still the best band I’ve ever seen live.

Whenever I hear this song it literally brings me directly back to summer 1994, and the campground in the White Mountains in NH where my family basically spent every summer of my childhood at, and I can literally smell the campfires burning and the old musty log cabin smell of the game room/main lodge, and i can hear this song on the old jukebox the place used to have. It's like im there everytime. Some of the best times of my life.

It’s easy to forget how absolutely huge this album was! There were a good 4 or more singles from it and they were all #1 hits. You couldn’t escape Bush if you tried back then! Man has music changed... fml.

Little Things proper lyrics. Thank you for the upload. "Little Things" I bleach the sky Every night Loaded on wrong And further from right Spinning around Two howling moons 'Cause they're always there Whatever I do The river is loaded I've been there today Took it some questions She does me again I'd die in your arms If you were dead too Here comes a lie We will always be true Going up When coming down Scratch away These are little things that kill Tearing at my brains again All the little things that kill The little things that kill Bigger you give Bigger you get We're boss at denial But best at forget The cupboard is empty We really need food Summer is winter And you always knew Going up when coming down Scratch away These are little things that kill Tearing at my brains again All the little things that kill Tearing at my brains again All the little little, little, little, little, little, little, little Little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little Little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little I touch your mouth My will is food Addicted to love I'm addicted to bullshit I kill you once I kill you again We're somber and crude Welcome my friends to The little things that kill Tearing at my brains again Oh, all the little things that kill Tearing at my brains again Oh, all the little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little Little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little Little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little Here come the little things Here come the little

I alway envisioned the last verse beginning "I touch your mouth, my willy is food" with willy being British slang and Gavin getting away with using a risque phrase in the lyrics.

I am currently playing this in electric in my garage. Bush has been in my top 3 of all time idc it’s my life. At times they’re 1 depending on what im going through. I’ve literally learned 5 of my fav bush songs this week. All by myself. Sometimes loud sometime soft and then I record and im 💯%🤢 . I live on the river and it’s cold but can’t wait to go outside with acoustic and strum little things real hard. And sorry last thing I saw Bush at the Rosemont in 92 💯%🔥❗️ I even snuck down to the mosh pit 🙌

The cupboard is empty, we really need food, Summer is Winter and you ALWAYS knew.
@onlybaconface89996 жыл бұрын
Rod Loveall what do you interpret that to mean?
@DTF4Cottoncandy6 жыл бұрын
It's about realizing you have a drug issue. Drugs= money spent on drugs instead of food. The line about summer is winter and someone else always knowing that, is knowing that drug use is causing issues both the other person had enabled them until the point of realization, that you've hit rock bottom. Basically "You knew this was wrong/was a problem." The song is about a couple abusing drugs and struggling with their addiction.

@@gordongoodman8342 You're an idiot if you think any genre is good music today. I wasn't raised in the 80's and can tell you 80's music was way better than the music of today....so your logic is flawed.
