Bushcraft Spring Hike to Beautiful Forest Lake

The drone footage in the beginning was 'lyrical' in style. Before I got too carried away, I remembered my youth as a farmboy going into flooded spring pastures to bring our dairy herd in for morning milking. My mother would gather 'cowslips' as we called them: those tender greens with their beautiful yellow flowers were used by traditional farm folk like dandelion greens were used later. They were early, fresh vegetation and were welcomed after a winter of even the best home-canned goods.

The footage of the reflection of the sky, clouds, and trees in the lake at the end were stunning! Wonderfully relaxing video! Cornelius was just too freaking adorable when he propped himself up on your bag and the tree to see better, lol! The minute I saw you pull that egg out of your coffee pot and having seen the bagel, I knew exactly what sandwich perfection you had in mind! We call that an egg in a basket in my family, and I always struggle finding a glass the perfect size to cut the hole in my bread that will maintain an optimal bread to egg ratio, lol. I now see how using a bagel and just cutting the hole bigger is a great solution! Definitely going to try that and add some cheese to that bad boy! Love the egg in a nest. I eat these all the time. I cut a circle out of bread and drop the egg in the middle. The center of the bread is fried and is perfect for soaking up the york.😊

Great vid Tom. A simple no trace camp with Cornelius. Very relaxing sure as much for you. Enjoy before the bugs come out. Good meal, hadn't seen an egg bagel, sandwich fixed like that. I cook with same cast iron skillet. Does great. The Viking way Next time stay safe Great droneage Beautiful place close to the hut
