Yes, this is what old Mrs, Tayaki did, after moving onto Finger Ridge. Just an overhang of stone she said, Drag or roll got the larger dry lay up. Smaller stone filled wall gaps. Hand sawing got her a low narrow door frame. Eventually she got around to making a wicker-like door Her small wood stove has a pipe through the laid wall. She walks a 5 gallon bucket of creek water up the ridge twice daily. Sandy floor for her small bare feet. Her kin walk up any other needs. Has a long Japanese bayonet to chop up snared game for stews.

In backpack I have 3L of water, A tea pot, a cup, a pot to cook, food for me and Bonny, second clothes, spoon and fork, a cutting board, cloth to clean my hands, tea, bowls for Bonny, axe, saw, knives, a sleepingbag, a sleeping mat, a wool mat sometimes, a tent, twine and a portable pharmacy.
