I don't know how I came across this one... Boy. I really appreciate this one. My mom with Alzheimer's here and the last 2 days like a zombie, can't walk, can't talk... wth. So today she came back to herself at 11:50am. wth. No idea. No idea about anything. So, here we are, back on track, watching you're videos. Watching Brook's videos. And we come across this little gem. Touched my heart. And when it was done, Mom says, "Well, I think we can make it.". I said "Yes" and that is exactly how it made me feel. ;)

God bless you and your family. I can relate more than you know. I was in a similar predicament when my children were toddlers. Back in the 80s, I became extremely ill over a very short period of time. The symptoms were bizarre and for about five years I was basically an invalid. I had two young daughters and couldn't even take care of them. I would crawl on my hands and knees to get to bed. Well low and behold, after about five years my symptoms finally began to subside. Most of the five years I thought I was dying, and wish I would hurry up and do it, because I didn't want my children to remember me this way. I eventually, recovered over a period of about a year. Never knew what had happened until over twenty years later, when they had the technology to diagnose me. Lyme disease. Fortunately for me, I have a killer immune system, but even after all those years, it was still in my body. But basically dead or dormant thanks to my immune system. You guys are the best.

Your video is such a strength. My son has been in a situation almost 17 years. He is 17 years old. When he eats it hurts him so bad. Just when we found an answer for surgery, our insurance dropped the doctor we needed on September, 2020. My son, left the house in tears on his skate board wondering how he will live. He returned home after an hour with such a desperate heart. My son still gets up everyday in severe pain. I tell him, I live because he is a fighter. He is about 6ft and 120lbs. I pray to Jesus Christ for a doctor to heal my son. Now I feel the same as you did. The doctor I needed, is no longer available.

Me and the little woman are embarking on a new endeavor. We are looking for a piece of bare land to call our own. If we can ever find something we can buy before it gets snatched up. You and your wife have been an inspiration to us. I wanted to thank you and let you know that being 60 an with 3 major surgeries you gave me the confidence to move forward with a dream I though was unattainable. Keep up the good work see you on your next video.

Thank you for sharing this. My son was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease when he was in first grade. He is 21 now but it has been a long journey. I often wonder if it could be a misdiagnosis because the side effects from many of his meds mimic Crohn's. Anyway, wonderful to hear your story of hope and success. I am always 'late to the party' but I just discovered your Bushradical videos on KZbin and love them. Been home for several days sick and waiting on Covid test results, but have enjoyed watching your videos. Your way of narrating reminds me so much of "Alone in the Wilderness", the story of Dick Proenneke. Very beautiful. Thank you and may God continue to bless you and your family.

It's very early in the morning of June 27th, 2022. I realize you authored this video on or about Thanksgiving five years ago, but I'm just now seeing it. I believe I was meant to see this, and meant to see it now, at this point in my life. My experience is similar in some respects to yours Dave, but with major differences as well. I was down to 113lb - at 5'10". There are times when I just feel like giving up... Sometimes cancer can make you feel that way. But I know I'm still alive for a reason. (I also know God has a sense of humor) So thank you for posting this Dave... and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, albeit five months early.

What an amazing story! And such a blessing from God! I just found your channel to girl in the woods. Your voice is amazing you’re amazing and I am learning so much. I may not ever be able to build my own cabin or sink my own well or build my own outhouse, But you have given me an idea of how my husband and I want to retire. We’re both disabled we both have a lot of health issues but we don’t want to sit still. So thanks to you and Brooke we have decided in two years when we retire we are going to travel and buy probably RV due to our health issues we have to be extremely close to bathrooms and a very comfortable bed we are both have back issues. I just had back surgery to have my lower spine fused and he has to have the same thing. So I wish to tell you and please pass this on to Brooke thank you. Thank you for believing in God, thank you for showing us it’s possible to live without a lot of money which we don’t have, and thank you for your inspiration! And I also want to thank you for bringing your beliefs to your channel. I think that’s wonderful and amazing and I just can’t say thank you enough! I look forward to watching as many of your videos as I can in a day between you and your wife and catching up on your history. I look forward to seeing what you do in the future as well!

Thank you was something i needed to hear today. Yesterday i seen my doctor and they are still dragging their feet. I was in a auto accident at the end of 08. They just seem to down play or prolong my suffering. I told him that i felt it was unethical to just leave me in pain. Since no repairs that i ask continuously for so i came home very frustrated. I was sitting there reading this poem he had in his office about God and for them to do the best they could to heal and that is when it shot out of my mouth how unethical i thought my treatment is. The look on his face like recognition. He is sending me to an orthopedic now.
