Absolutely extraordinary videography! So many things I loved about this presentation...the machete work (being a primarily back-country land surveyor, that's my go-to blade), the nice Case pocket knife, the forest sounds, (I think that was a crow, rather than a raven, but can't be sure), the sizzling of the juices from the beef dropping into the fire...I was thoroughly impressed with the fact that the total words spoken came at 8:30, "oh, yeah", 14:21, "that's fantastic", and 18:55, "not a bad way to spend a warm day in January". Mellow guitar music softly coming in at 7:30 was nicely chosen, and timed, as well. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but good videograghy cannot even be measured in words. The ability to convey the feeling of the entire experience is a rare talent, and you nailed it. I know I didn't enjoy it as completely as you did, but I'd be willing to bet it was a close thing.

Hey Dave, now that's a knife, nice to see a fresh video. Please allow me to narrate for you. Did you notice Dave used green wood for over the fire and to skewer the meat and onions? There is a reason for it, green wood has less of a chance of catching on fire. Why did Dave spread the hot coals out? So the meat cooked evenly. Why did he eat the larger skewer of meat? He thought Brooke might show up, lol. Why didn't Dave talk during the video? Well, sometimes there is a time to talk and other times, peace and quiet is the order of the day.....How did I do Dave?
