love that the biggest takeaway from "andy popping into frame" was that andy was cute and adorable in it, because that was what really prevented it from becoming a dud. it's just a charming piece!!

"Andy Popping Into Frame" was so funny to me and my older brother that on our first trip to NYC when we were both teenagers, I have pictures from Central Park where my brother basically did the small little pop-into-frame from behind a bush like Andy did at the end of the hall 😂

"andy popping into frame" was a gateway to "punching people before eating" so i appreciate it.

So psyched that "Punching Before Eating" is up next. One of my all time faves. Everything about that short shows why these guys are so great together. The premise is completely insane right off the bat, but they keep heightening it from there. One of the big shots at a lot of the SNL live skits of this era was that they were too predictable, or that they just had one joke, but "Punching Before Eating" turns every conceivable expectation of where it is going on its head.

For a period from 2012-2013 I was attached to a Marine Special Operations Team (MSOT) in Helmand Province Afghanistan. The team celebrated MacGruber Mondays. That is, once a week this entire team of some of the most highly trained killers on earth in one of the most dangerous places in the world would get together and watch the movie MacGruber. Every week for eight months. It was the right kind of stupidto help deal with the wrong kind of stupid.

With everything going on, I actually forgot about the podcast for once! I was looking for it on Saturday, remembered it wasn't Monday yet, and hadn't thought about it since. Thanks for being here, guys! This is my favorite thing in a long time. I've discovered Ras Trent and Great Day and have been watching them once every 2 days, at minimum. I happened to have my bass guitar on yesterday, and started learning to play them as well. For anyone wondering, you'll actually need a 5-string for Great Day, which is fortunately what I had on. LOL Now I'm off to listen to the podcast! 😁

The way Andy just freely throws around "POS" tells me being his friend is probably alot of work, and takes alot of effort. Who would have thought how accurate pop star actually was.
@rotherthies5 ай бұрын
This Pod cast really ruined the illusion that Andy is a kind, loveable, good friend.. where I come from, joking or not you call another man a POS you can expect to be fighting.
@rotherthies5 ай бұрын
@ILostYourSoul uh huh. So your cool with someone calling you a piece of shit? I doubt it. Never seen anyone joking or not let someone disrespect them like that. But if you werent taunt manners, respect, and self worth, sucks for you, I guess.
@rotherthies5 ай бұрын
@ILostYourSoul sorry bud, I but if a person is calling you a pos, they don't respect you and aren't your friend. When you grow up, mature adults play by this rule called "mutual respect." You see it when you have a respectable interaction with a stranger. Only immature children think it's OK to disrespect someone and call it a joke. Which just goes to show you don't actually understand what respect is. If you're calling someone anything derogatory, you don't really respect them, and vice versa, cause if you did respect them, you wouldn't even feel like calling them "insert name." Playing pranks and joking around, or calling someone an ass when they're acting like one, is one thing. But if your throwing around stupid, pos, cunt, bitch, etc etc, for no reason, there is most definitely a reason. That's how those people really feel about you, and vice versa. You aren't really friends, you tolerate each other because noone else will put up with your immature bullshit. But you go right ahead and keep thinking you're just jokin...
