Instead of getting a new bucket get the guys that did your ramps on the trailer to weld up the bottom and thay can put a new cutting edge on it as well be a lot cheaper than getting a new bucket
@dougwitman91762 жыл бұрын
Those tires will be fine on firm ground, concrete etc. Mud and deep snow might be a problem. ALWAYS make sure tires are about the same size and condition on each side. If left side tires are a little different than right side tires it is not as important as making sure they are a match on each side. If not you will have excessive wear on internal parts. Get a set of pallet forks. You will find many uses, like moving your snowplows, unloading skids of salt, etc. Also a toothed bucket is needed to dig in stone and dirt, move rocks, etc.. A good weld shop can put a new cutting edge on your bucket for scooping salt. If that was my machine, I would find a bobcat dealer and let them fully service that machine. Change all filters and fluids, radiator flush, hydraulic oil and trans filter. They will check pump pressures, adjust hydro linkage, brakes, and generally make sure you are good to go. It will be costly but will save you repair costs down the road. Good luck.

I have the Bobcat 553 with the 773 motor, so a little bit different. But I would suggest to keep everything greased on it and it will work great. Also make sure to add a little bit of new diesel when it sits for a little while just to help slow down the diesel separating

Congratulations on the new to you piece of equipment. The opportunities are endless having a machine like that. I'm excited to see what attachments you get in the future. I think I'd get a harley rake and possibly a heavy brush cutter. This machine would have been perfect for when you cleared the perimeter of the fence line at your big commercial property.

I've repaired bobcat skidloaders, at my place of employment. They are decent units. The tension for the pump drive belt, should be checked and ajusted at the specified times. Should be a maintenance hours label, on the door. With them hours, you should be able to get a lot of time out of it.

Nice buy, the ones I've been around seem to go forever. The one thing I've heard different owners say is keep an eye on the hoses. Once you see any dry rot make sure the rest haven't hardened up without cracking. After seeing some auctions up here the last couple years I would think Matt will easily sell the mowers he's wanting to. Nice of you to give him some free quality advertising. Take care.

Speed Binders for quick and EZ tiedown. Chunk of tree that will fit under rear of machine. Use bucket down to raise machine all 4 tires off ground. No jack to sink into soft ground. Used spare is OKAY.

Good score on the Bobcat. My suggestion is to get it inspected and fully serviced first. Make sure it up to date on its maintenance. And if you paint it, consider using your company colors of green and pink like what you and TQ wear on your rounds. Maybe paint the lift arms and bucket green, the wheels and rear engine panel pink. Or pink bucket and wheels and the tractor green. You have 4 colors to work with, green, pink, white and black. Your wrap on your pickup looks real good. Maybe do something similar with your bobcat. It’s a blank slate to use your company branding colors and logos on.

I have bobcat skid steer. I like it. It’s been reliable. My only regret is not buying a unit with tracks. Tracks work better on lawns and less likely to get stuck. You can can get tracks over wheels and they work well. Good luck with your purchase.

I met a guy a while back that was using a 1970's model skid steer. Was doing work on weekend, and helping some buddies who were building new houses. Good piece of equipment to have around. I plan on renting a stand on style Vermeer or something similar for some light dirt work, and spreading gravel at my house this spring.

If you keep the Bobcat as a salt loader or snow removal I would buy the rubber grouser tracks they work much better in snow and ice. They go over the tires and spread the load over a much larger area. I can also say the ride is much smoother and if you drive onto a wet lawn they do less damage.

You can buy those blocks from any concrete company. They use those molds to dump excess concrete. Here in new hampshire they cost 20 for the small blocks and 45 for the 4 foot blocks. For salt storage for a small company. Buy a sea container they cost about 1000 dollars. Then you can keep the salt covered and lock the bobcat inside as well.

owned a 93' 753 bobcat since 2013 bought it with 1100 hours and it now has 2300 hours. We mainly used it for loading gravel in dump trailers and driveway demo jobs. Very straight forward machine. fix a few things when we first got it because it sat for a long time not being used. Haven't had to fix anything for the last 5 or 6 years other than a bucket tilt cylinder from hydraulic jackhammer and a battery this month. At first you think its small, but once you start loading and unloading on a trailer its simple to move around from job to job and easy to tow around town with the truck. we bought asphalt-concrete tires that a block tread design and they last a long time

Good 1st machine! You usually can get those concrete blocks from concrete companies, they often will make them with leftover concrete they have in the mixer trucks. Call a few of them I bet you will find one nearby that has them probably for cheaper then what you would pay to transport them any major distance.
@quicklandscapingllc8432 жыл бұрын
We used to have a 753, ran it for years. Great Kubota motor. Like previously said keep it greased and will run forever. Btw they make an aftermarket cab heater that works really well.
@davidsellars6462 жыл бұрын
That machine will fit into everything and open sooo many new opportunities. You will outgrow it but it will be a very valuable second/backup machine. I agree with Shane, rebuild the bucket. Paint is a good idea and the green will make it yours. The tires will go awhile until maybe the world regains some sanity. I like the track machines much better. Much more stable. One of the grapple/rakes are super useful. You probably can rent most of the attachments you will need. When you find something that you really don't want to return, that may be the thing to buy.

If you're going to use that mostly not on dirt and you're going to get new tires I would def. consider a little bit more per tire for the harder rubber tire tread pattern. Def. do your research because the ones that are on there now are soft and get torn up quick. Also make sure you check and make sure all of your grease zerks are taking grease and if they aren't replace them right away especially if you're using it for salt. Shoot me a message or something here or on I.G if you have any questions you may need help with.

That 753 (looks like a C model, Melroe), square lights…..is a keeper (don’t ever sell!). You can repair everything yourself, runs like a tank, engine is a Kubota v2203 (rock solid! They use them on train refer cars due to the reliability being so good). Having bought the same one myself, a few things tightened up the machine: taper pins at the bucket arms, a new pin and bushing at the bucket/cylinder (there is a bushing in there, mine was completely worn off!) and pins at the frame/arm connection. If the drive motors start to go, you can pull them in about 1/2 hour, reseal them yourself (loader parts source has all the kits, but I use Bobcat kits to avoid Chinese junk)….about $230 vs. a rebuilt drive motor at $1500. Engine is simple as can be, can find parts easily….like getting parts for a Ford straight 6….they’re that common. Have fun!

Dont worry about painting it, just give it a good coating of fluid film. Take it to a bobcat dealership and have them do a full service of all the filters and fluids, grease it reguarly, and run the tires until the tread is completely gone(i would recommend buy a spare tire incase of an emergency). That's just my 2 cents, congrats on the new machine! It will open many more oppertunities and make your life a lot easier!
