My routine is going to bed about 7:30 PM and getting up at 2:30 to go to the gym before work. It’s gone pretty well for many years.

Can definitely relate to this guy. I’m 33, with a wife and 4 kids, own a contracting business, and work part time at my church. Life is nuts. The morning is literally the only realistic time to get some sort of exercise in. Thanks for the reminder, subscribed!

Stayed at a hotel last night and hit the gym ( for cardio) downstairs at 7:30 am…heading home and then hitting legs later. It will always fit if you want it to 💪🏋️‍♀️.

depending on the time of year for me. I did pretty good this past month of 3 am wake-up for prayer, 4 am work out, hopefully done by 515 am, at work by 6am. heavy protein breakfast, coffee later in the day does change a lot. April will be hectic, but I hope to get back to that in May.

Soooo you go to bed at 7:30pm? With a family... How?!?! I start bedtime (have 4yo and 7yo girls) at about 8 and most days get to actually lay in bed about 9-9:30.

Ive been going to the gym at least 4 times a week before work but not long enough or with a plan in mind before rushing off to work. Ive always struggled having or planning a regular routine w/ work, school and family responsibilities changing so often in the last few years. Thanks for sharing 😊

I cannot recommend enough putting your clothes out the night before and having your phone charging beside the clothes with the alarm set. When you wake up to shut off the alarm, your clothes are right there, and it lowers the barrier significantly! Additionally, I set my watch to vibrate 5 minutes before my phone alarm, and at this point that is enough of a trigger warning ot get my up to shut my phone alarm off before it goes off. :) HAPPY MORNINGS EVERYONE!

The watch vibrate is a veteran move. Clothes are always laid out as well. You nailed it!

I start my morning at 4am for the gym. It’s not “ideal” but I get it done because I have my “why” and I have my habits. There are days where I’d rather stay in bed, but usually I’m on auto-pilot and I just do it to get the second task done (the first is making my bed). A good morning routine requires a good evening routine, so I have my gym and work clothes ready as well as my gym bag and water bottle from the evening before. On the weekend I hit the sauna/steam room as a reward.

Biggest challenge for me is going to sleep early. My oldest goes to sleep at 9pm. I then cherish the quiet time and push my luck until like 11pm. Not really trying to sleep until 12 then. Wake up at 6:30-7am and then off to the races. Its hard to give up those extra hours of quiet in the night to spend time with my wife or work on hobbies.

i got into the same routine and it has been the best/worst start of my day, everyday. the worst part in the sense that i need to psych myself up for it. the best part because it gives me the endorphin boost for the morning and day ahead.

The night routine is the biggest key for me Getting my pre ready and my clothes out for the workout and the work day This way I can wake up at 4:30 instead of 4:15 That 15 minutes saves me progressive fatigue which makes a huge difference

Caffein delaying is definitely the best thing to try , I use to get up slam a coffee in and by mid morning another and by lunch one more always noticing having massive energy dips through the day , now I wake up workout fasted, 2hrs later 1st coffee and the energy sits steady with no spikes or dips …… game changer

I’m going to try this. I’ve been telling myself it’s impossible to get up this early while working as an electrician apprentice who has to be at work at 6 am. And has classes for 3 hours on Tuesday and Thursday whilst working full time and having a family. But seeing that you have four kids and still push through it tells me I can at least make an effort.

only thing that makes not jog but I still do is my neighborhood is freaking haunted smh yesterday a female appeared right next to me at 4:50 am , I pulled out my phone to pause the song to acknowledge her in case she said something and i turned back and she disappeared. I was too tired to run for my life so I just slow jogged away. I'm actually looking up home workouts instead of jogging at night

I used to love my morning workouts but found myself constantly getting injured. No matter how much I warmed up or how early I went to bed. Drove me crazy! Lol Instead I started doing 30 mins of yoga each morning and getting to the gym later in the day. It's worked well for me so far! Then again, I don't have kids and my career isn't quite as demanding 😉

The issue lies in the fact that if I aim to wake up at around 5 am, I should ideally go to bed by 9 to 10 pm. However, this isn't realistic for my generation in this day and age (29), particularly on weekdays. With a 9-6 work schedule, two days of dance training (a regular hobby), and one day dedicated to spending time with my girlfriend, it's nearly impossible for me to envision myself going to sleep around 9-10 pm.

Agree its tough. Same for me with a wife and 2 kids. The days I work from home I can get to bed earlier. The days I come home from the office at 7pm it is not realistic to run to bed

During summer its easy for me to get up at 4:45am and go out to the shed to do some weights or cardio. Once the days start getting shorter, the sun coming up later... thats when i really struggle to get my lazy ^ss out of bed. I tell myself i can do some exercise in the afternoon, but that is when i am least likely to adhere. Its gotta be the morning workout for me to keep consistent. So if the sun would just do me a favour and come up early over winter instead of later, that would be appreciated.
