Thanks to Corey and Mike for wearing the mikes, it's very helpful for players/watchers to learn their thinking, like when Corey was talking about going up for that ball in the side early to leave insurance balls if he didn't get right rock placement. Thanks for posting. Doubles games are always good instructionally.

Efren and Busta played so much together they do not need to communicate that much just two bros enjoying the game. Corey made some incredible shots and Mike probably made the break look way too easy.

Man it would be nice to hear the pool players discussing their strategy instead of the commentators.. It's not something you get to hear very often.

Excellent match, Corey & Mike worked well together. Efren i believe was not playing as well as he usually does. Good commentary aswell..

Efren Reyes is my favorite player, Francisco Bustamonte is my second favorite player, what a team though.

♥♥. I'm only a half hour into the video, but, so far, I've noticed that Mike and Corey spend a LOT more time collaborating on what to shoot next, where they want the cue ball to end up, etc. Efren and Francisco seem to understand how each other plays, so they don't seem to worry about it so much.

Who are the two guys providing commentary? Around the 1:30 area, they are terrific! Knowledge and funny. I’d like to find more with these guys. Of the two, one guy seems particularly adept. I sure hope someone knows.

E I’m sure that Mike and Corey are nice young men but MUST they have a world conference before every shot?Efren and Django make the viewing so much more pleasurable because they’re pros and don’t require confidence boosting before shooting.

I don't think Mike & Corey have been pool partners as long as Efren & Busta. I know what you mean tho, they certainly took there time to work out what ball to hit first & where to leave it.

Ok, I don't normally get on here and do this but I have to rebut these commentators on that 4 ball scenario at the 55 minute mark. Cory mentioned that they could get at the 4 ball and the commentators Immediately start saying they'd better get that right then and when C/M start looking elsewhere they start with the whole pros don't always know what's right, that they're good because they shoot good but don't always have good strategy. Maybe so, but the commentators look silly here saying that and what C/M end up doing is indeed the right strategy...and here's why. The trouble 4 does need down but so does the trouble 5 and the angle is just to steep on the 4 to check or hold for the 5. They correctly plan to use the 6 and 7 to gain a better angle on the 4 so they can land on the 5 and get to the 1 from underneath. Which is exactly what they do, albeit with a still steep (but way better) angle on the 4. They contemplated all options and possible patterns just like any good 8 ball player would do in that scenario. They weren't just skipping the 4 ball and hacking on...geez!

OK IDC if this is old and nobody reads this at about 54:35 and MANY MANY MANY other times, the commentator ( I think Bobby ) should STFU. At that time I wrote, they were both saying shoot the 4 and they are both WRONG!! 1st whatever stripe that is in the jaws of the pocket. If you hit the 4 with bottom, both balls are going in unless you REALLY screw up. 2) It's a hard cut shot and clipping the edge brings speed on the CB, so it's unlikely you're going to get the 5. The one is blocked and the CB would probably go where it is now. The 6 in the side (which is the shot they took was the RIGHT SHOT!!! You can draw into the 7 and nudge it where you could put it in the corner, you can go forward and have shape on the 3 or 2 OR have a dead straight shot on the 4 and make both balls. So that ONE SHOT gives u 4 possibilities and at 55:03 he starts running his mouth about how us NON PROS think Pro's never make a mistake, they are pros because their power and stroke. So he was flat out saying they were clueless on which ball to take WHEN IT WAS HIM THAT WAS CLUELESS and I'm "thinking" that they have the same angle we do, which is why often things will go, no angle, won't go and we are wrong, because we aren't at the table, but this guy has been wrong so many times it's sick. IDK who he is, I'm no pro and assume the people running their mouth are "SUPPOSED TO BE" I wonder why they aren't down their playing instead of being in the box yapping, but I'll take a stab at a guess BECAUSE THEY CAN'T WIN. Earl Strickland is now doing commentary every Tuesday and it's the best I've ever seen. Not only is he right, but he is helpful and explains WHY to use bottom right, top left... There is so many commentators that JUST PLAIN SUCK!!!!!!! and the one guy (Not Bobby blow hard) he's on a lot and wrong all the dam time. They had Ewa mataya one time. Efren was playing 8 ball. There was 2 balls flat out blocking both corners for the 8 ball. 2 shots ahead Efren bumped the 7 to clear the path to make the 8 ball in two shots (he was stripes) and she said like 3 times "OMG he got lucky! I can tell you this, he sure didn't mean to hit the 7 ball, he got a lucky roll. There is no way he meant to do that!!!!" I am NOT a pro and I knew he was gonna set up the angle to bump the 7 outta the way, took another shot then another and had a straight 8.........First IT'S FRICKIN EFREN, that guy hardly ever does anything he didn't mean to. 2nd, it was common sense to anyone that has the ability to run a dam table. All I could think is.....THAT'S WHY YOU'RE UP THERE AND NOT SHOOTING. It's actually more often that they are wrong then right and it drives me NUTS!!! But for that guy to belittle Corey, make shitty comments about pros, makes me wanna 1) Get him on a table, take his money and make him go to the ATM until he reaches his limit for the day. 2) SMACK HIM

"The old drop the guys favorite piece of chalk move". LOL. If you want to be really nasty, I would then add surreptitiously step on it. Just kiddin'. Also I want to add that their statement about pros not always shooting the right shot is absolutely correct. Probably pretty much every one of them would agree, save maybe Strickland, who said "I've never missed a shot that was my fault"...hopefully he was kidding, too.,

If you shoot the right shot every time, the game becomes very boring, very quickly. If you can play two shots, are comfortable in both, and both get you in line, choose the one more entertaining for people to see. That's how I play at least, and that's inspired by Reyes, SvB, Shaw, Chris Melling, and Floriam Venom Kohler.
