best wishes for your father's recovery! also, Urza's Tower in the 20-post manabase is cursed and I love that technology for colorless stompy

In round 5 your opponent couldn't immediately use the surgical extracation after they got it back with mystic sanctuary and ponder because they were tapped out and the vexing bauble was still in play.

Round 2 game 3, at the end, you could have played glimmerpost, gone to 13, and on their turn play dismember, and go to 2, surviving the ring trigger at 1 Then maybe play another ring and go from there
@davidsperoni31075 ай бұрын
thought the same haha
@Backsquatch5 ай бұрын
In the very end of round 2 you could have played Glimmerpost to go to 13, then dismembered the Dreadnaught to save 1 life and gain another turn. Not likely you find much to get out of the spot at 1 life, but another draw might’ve.

One way to help against blood moon effects could be replacing exploration with grim monolith. It’s not as good with the one ring, but it also ramps hard and it gives you access to colorless mana even through moon.

I dunno if Sorceress Spyglass might be better than Disruptor Flute, I guess the Flute having flash is pretty relevant. But Spyglass lets you look at their hand, and then name a card.

I wonder if it’d be worth cramming a wastes into the manabase? We currently have no outs to a resolved blood moon other than very high mv spells, at which point we’re probably dead already. Though maybe cutting the seers as you suggested would make that no longer a notable problem?
@lordgod99585 ай бұрын
I really think the basic waste is needed since you can tutor for it some amount of time, moon effects are just lights out ao much of the time its worth cutting maybe a trenchpost for it

looks like this new eldrazi decks need some answer to big tempo threats like dreadnaught or reanimated trolls etc. Dismember was a let down in your latest eldrazi videos

@MrAvatarzan5 ай бұрын
Given how soft the deck is to Wasteland and moon effects, maybe 2 Wastes and some number of pithing needles are worth considering? Other than that excellent games!
@zigzag23705 ай бұрын
and maybe even some sort of life from the loam or way to get lands from the graveyard. sideboard options but if thats the route he takes then he should also play wastelands.of.his own as well. it does tap for colorless as well so it wouldn't hurt the gameplan

23:57 Couldn't you Dismember (net saving 1 life) and then follow up with a The One Ring to live at 1 ? You probably still aren't winning from there but it at least gives you another draw.

Is the new Emrakul just unplayable?
@michaelwhite46955 ай бұрын
If it's worth taking with discard then it's playable
@dustinfurness21555 ай бұрын
@@michaelwhite4695 My question was because I see people playing the Aeon’s Torn (first printed like 14 years ago in Rise of the Eldrazi) and once in awhile they get cute with Emrakul the Promised End (or it’s played when the aforementioned card isn’t part of the card pool like in pioneer) but I’ve yet to see anyone play Emrakul the World Anew. There are two versions of Ulamog but only the old Emrakul. The new one would be a bit more playable with madness assuming 3 sol lands or 2 urza’s towers and the new lands that automatically makes it produce 3 colorless mana as soon as turn 2. You’d of course need to find a way to discard it so it’s more like turn 4 at the earliest on the hard cast without something like the one ring and having 8 or more cards in hand to discard to hand size and madness in Emrakul. It lacks the extra abilities like taking an extra turn, exiling half of your opponent’s deck, or annihilator but madness 6 take all of your opponents creatures and they have to wait until the next turn to remove it unless they already have Karakas in play and then what? Give you 12 life and exile all of their own creatures too? I can see how OG Emrakul is just stronger a lot of the time (uncounterable, extra turn, protection from colored spells on every turn) but is the new emrakul not even worth including or hasn’t Phil gotten to it yet?
