@@robertlecomber481 I wish, no it isn't. I think it was the german football analysts who first pointed to those areas of the pitch when Pep started his system at Barcelona, then other clubs picked up on it to try and control those zones.

I’ve been focusing on quick transitions and overloading the central areas of the pitch this year TM are essentials. Defensive wise, always start defending narrow and eventually turn up one notch to prevent those far post goals coming from a cross

This is pure gold Daljit, the explanation is simple and quite easy to understand. People should really watch and listen. Congrats, Happy new year to you and your family, keep them coming. 👍

What a fantastic video and channel in general. I was playing FM at a very superficial level before I found this channel, now I need to make room in my brain to absorb all of this insight.

Wow, a really helpful video. It is easy to follow and I will enjoying rewatching this until I understand it completely. I need to analyse my current tactic with Marseille and have decided to use this an the future videos of this series to see what type of tactic I will create. Thank you and as always I appreciate these great video you always make for the community, take care.

I used to think about using and creating space in an idealized vacuum. A lot of times the strategy does "work", it's jus that it doesn't fit the team I'm playing against. My players with better attacking and creative stats do much better when they're opting to defend against me. Ball winners thrived in games where we were forced to defend a lot, while being almost dead weight against smaller opposition. I plan my squad depth differently now, unless I'm a clear underdog, or the undisputed league winner. Then it's pretty easy to get away with running the same thing almost 100% of the time. I thought of overloads as something that only happens in attack from midfield or the final third, and because of it, I had a terrible time for hundreds of ours trying to set up a functional counter attack. I did not have players good enough at defending, or had them set up to look to attack, when they really need to stay back. Most often the tactic was right, the stats the players had were unfit for the task. 8:10 I made no use of the team report before. Choosing how we play in the league is so much easier when I can see where we stand, what we can't possibly hope to match, and what to focus on to dominate.

Hello Daljit, I am just wondering how I can set up the screen you have on 9.22 with the lines. Also i want to say thanks for your videos they are really really great. Finally why have you chosen these items in particular for your squad view. And do you think distance covered per 90 is more useful as a statistic than the workrate. Thanks again for your amazing videos.

This is good. Please address how to create a tactic when your team is a massive underdog. Some of my opponents, for example, are much faster and much stronger with so many strengths. Thanks!
@darkphoenix38813 жыл бұрын
It depends upon your team. Personally I like to use a typical no9 because it gives me counter attack option and also goals from crosses as well.

@@darkphoenix3881 Thanks for the insight. What is a number 9? I am relatively new to soccer and football manager.
@darkphoenix38813 жыл бұрын
No 9 is typical striker like Lukaku or Giroud.If you can find a target man kind of guy who is good in air and passing and some decent pace.Then he is your no9.

Daljit, is there any way you can make a short video about the differences between fm20 and fm21 ? I’m not sure if you’ve covered this topic on one of your lives or if you have a video such as this and could point me to it. I’m not in a great place financially so I’d like to know if dropping a fitty on this thing is worth it. Every other review on steam seems to go either which way, it would be a huge help!

Hey man, Im starting to watching our videos and i have a question. How do you know if tatic is good, i see you have a lot of tatics. You simulate 1 season or u play and see the season. Cheers from Portugal!
@BusttheNet3 жыл бұрын
You don’t need to simulate. Easiest way try it with a good team. If it works it’s players. Then try it with a weaker team and identify the transitions that fail and isolate the players there

A topic on how to react when you feel like you are being pinned in your own half and every highlight is of the opposition having shots and build up in your half would be great.

Hi Bustthenet...if i’m able to play well at fm is thanks to you. I have always been having a doubt about opposition instructions: is correct to never mark tight a player with a high level of dribbling and acceleration? For example a young Messi or Ronaldo...and if you have to face a player like that how do you try to limit him? Thank you

Cracking start to the series, anyone who is keen on creating tactics need to understand these fundamental's. Tactics are not drag and drop, if you want them to be effective you need to understand the tools at your disposal. @steinkelsson

How you sign players because I always messed up these things?
@Jur1_003 жыл бұрын
Depends on what your looking for. My advice is always not to sign players the first season unless you need dept is some positions; in that case 2 or 3 players will do then focus on your tactics with the players you have. What that does is, it forces you to learn the strengths and weaknesses of your team as well as how your tactic works. Once you understand how your tactic works then it becomes easy because you know the kind of players you need and you just have to search for them

How low can an attribute get before it is considered totally shit for even the lowest league ? for eg, playing in a level 12 database.
@BusttheNet3 жыл бұрын
When you play with a level 12db you get attribute squishing. They are mostly shit attributes then so you do a comparison to the rest of the league and see what’s the best and worst. Since the dbs are created by other people it would depend on each individual db so you need to check this yourself
