These are such good idea's. I love the snack reminder. I always forget to prep them before hand. I just want to add that it's true, little ones learn SO much by overhearing the older kids lessons! As a mom of six who's homeschooling teens to tots I've found that Reading Eggs is another wonderful way to help the little ones learn something and keep them busy at the same time.

I just love your hair and earrings in this video! "Do not underestimate the power of a high chair and snacks." I have been using this approach a LOT with Glenn lately. I have those rubbery/squishy blocks, too, they were his Christmas present this past Christmas, and he loves stacking them.

Hi Dina, thank you so much for sharing your ideas with us. I have a 2 years old and a 1 year old (who doesn't nap in the morning anymore) so homeschooling the eldest is becoming very difficult. In the afternoon they are napping at the same time 😑

Oh I'm so sorry they don't nap anymore. But bins of toys in rotation has been WONDERFUL for our family!

Thank you again for sharing, Dina! Your baby seems to like shapes very much! My son does too. Hahhaa The bin you have there is just a life and space saver hahaha The toys are great and colorful too that even I love looking at them! hahhaa Good thing that she does not get frustrated. My son gets frustrated sometimes when he does not get the shapes fit into their compartments or whatever it is called hahah, but not all the time. It just happens when his sleepiness takes over in the time when he still wants to play hahahhahaha! Shapes, colors, and texture really are a big hit for toddlers I guess. May I ask how often do you change or do the rotation on her toys? Is it just the same with the older ones?

Do you have a toy section? Toys that are always out for all the kids? Like I saw you have the doll house in the back. We have a toy room and I don’t want to have that anymore, things are not getting played with when it’s all out.

I don't. For the same reason you said. Since the toys were out all the time the kids got bored of them. So now I have the toys put away. I have the dollhouse out but it's not until I turn it around and bring it out that they begin to play with it. They have toys out in their rooms but I try to have everything put away in our living spaces. BUT....they know where to go if they want an activity book, puzzle, or anything like that. 😁👍

I deliberately do not buy many toys to my children and I rotate their toys. I only keep few toys in a basket (I usually rotate the toys every month). Since I am doing this method I realised that now they are playing with their toys and because they do not have many toys they learned to play with them in many different ways.
