Great watch. It must be the longest video on Norwich Airport you can watch KZbin. Well done. 😅

Thanks, and yes a very long video! I thought I'd add everything I got from yesterday (April 1st) into one video, including the first Ryanair flights.

Yes, it's great to see Ryanair serving the airport.😅

Oh, and why do all the aircraft turn around off the runway rather than on it? Narrow width or a local regulation? Just wondered! Great vid!
@norwichaviation7 ай бұрын
I'm pretty sure that there is only one taxiway that can support the weight of a 737. The KLM and Loganair flights don't have to turn back on the runway, as they are smaller aircraft. There has been a few occasions with 2 Ryanair 737's on the runway at once, because only 1 taxiway for them in and out of the terminal!
@andrewmcilwraith19977 ай бұрын
@@norwichaviation Yes but there isn't a taxiway at Norwich, is there? I mean not a parallel one. KLM and Loganair's planes could presumably turn on the runway (within it's width) I wondered whey they don't. Anyway, good luck for the future. I have subscribed and looking for notifications.
@norwichaviation7 ай бұрын
Yes, no parallel taxiway, just a small one at either end (can't support a 737) and a bigger one in the middle of the runway. Thanks for subscribing, there should be another video later today with a TUI flight landing, from Dusseldorf. It's a white plane but is going to be repainted into a special livery... hopefully I can catch it leaving.

Bond Offshore have gone bust, how come there’s one on here?
@norwichaviationАй бұрын
There are still a few Bond helicopters that fly out of Norwich daily. Perhaps they are operated by another company, but still in the same livery? Just a guess. 👍

Great video! I've always thought Norwich was an underserved (is that a word?) airport. Things were better in FlyBe days but hopefully looking up now. I wish it all success and hope that it might get two based Ryanair 737s in a couple of years. If Aberdeen can generate 2 million passengers per year, hopefully Norwich can get to one and a half million. Too optimistic? I know there isn't the same oil/gas traffic but you are all rich down there(!). I suspect locals will resent having their suburban idyll disturbed but 6 Boeing 737 departures and arrivals per day won't make that much difference. Anyway, if you don't want aircraft noise don't buy a house near an airport! It could create lots of jobs and provide a much needed service so that locals don't have to go to Stansted. Bon chance and love from Glasgow! XXXX

Thank you! Norwich is a very quiet airport, probably one of the quietest in the UK, but we get a few rare arrivals for repainting, or maintenance, like the Nauru Airlines 737 came in a few weeks ago, from Brisbane! Also, we used to get British airways doing their training flights here, but apparently locals complained about it, so we don't anymore sadly. Busiest day for this airport will be on a Friday in this summer season, now that Ryanair are here, 3 TUI flights and 3 Ryanair flights! The first Ryanair flights have been quite popular, but the Alicante flight is by far the busiest.
@andrewmcilwraith19977 ай бұрын
@@norwichaviation I was being ironic about you all being rich! I assume Yarmouth and Lowestoft are a bit desperate, so the Alicante flight being the most popular is no surprise. Yes, I know that doesn't make sense. Alicante is the top ten destinations from most British airports. Prestwick near me gets odd flights too. It does keep things interesting even if we are sad at the lack of traffic. ❤

Norwich is a fairly boring airport but i guess no airport is boring to go to nice vid
@norwichaviation8 ай бұрын
It is quite boring and empty, but the short runway makes things interesting sometimes. Also planes come here for maintenance and painting, so we get some different visitors. A Nauru Airlines plane came in the other week after a 20,000 km trip here!
@Aderin.8 ай бұрын
@@norwichaviation I didn't actually know that, it's not that boring after all 😂
@norwichaviation8 ай бұрын
Lots of people think its quiet, but every few days we get a rare visitor. Today we got a Lufthansa A320, KLM 737 departing (KLM 737 is rare for Norwich), and British Airways E190 in!
