As someone who studies meso american histroy seeing thus makes me so happy:). I dont blame people for doing this because its not rlly explained much but maya is actually the correct term mayan refers to the language family . The snake god you made is kukulkan in mayan or quetzacoatl in nahuatl. Hes not only a maya god but meso american covering other people such as the aztec ( which is a also a wrong name but covers a fast section of multiple cultures). Also fun fact the meso american pantheon is still worshipped today by many meso americans such as mayas and nahuas. I dont mean this to come off as condescending or rude sorry if it does i love talking aboht this subject

The one lion having an eye problem sounds like Z fighting, the eye and the head have the same position in one of the co-ordinates, typically Z, hence the name. Most engines try and solve rendering both elements in the same place and position by checkerboarding them. I don't know how granularly you can set positions but moving the eyes forward an imperceptible amount like .001 _should_ help

I agree , it's a cool choice for a dye shop :) . Btw Quetzalcoatl belongs to the mythology of Nahuatl speaking people ("Aztec"), not Mayan. Some other central Mexican civilizations such as "Mixteca" people also followed the same pantheon.

The feathered serpent also appears in Aztec culture, and they have plenty of sacrifice practices. If you are interested, you could check about Teotihuacan (temple of feathered snake), it may give some inspiration.

I like how you made the feathered serpent brightly colored! Most ancients sites were very bright and colorful but over the ages all the paints and dyes faded and it wasn't until relatively recently we were able to discover the ancient sites were not just the drab ruins we have been left with in modern times.

Man, watching an artist at work is fascinating! When Cleo was doing her armour stands, I kept thinking how much it resembles sculpting something from clay, and then the serpent God building process looked a little bit like 3d printing a model how it was mostly made level by level. Excellent work on all of it! What a great episode

The snake reminds me of a Dreamtime story called the Rainbow Serpent - Aboriginal (Indigenous Australian) story about a large serpent who slumbered during The Dreamtime when the earth was a barren rock, the rainbow serpent emerged and its giant body carved through the land as it travelled across the earth. When it returned it called to the frogs to emerge, bellies full of water, and when they laughed the water came out and filled in the tracks that the serpent left, creating the lakes and rivers. With the water, grass and trees began to grow and all other animals that slumbered during the dreamtime emerged and populated the earth. The story goes on and it's actually pretty great, worth the read!

You should make a wither rose farm in the end rather than a squid farm. With squid farms, you gotta drain an entire river and build the farm. But with wither rose farms, you just have to build the farm and cover an end island in water.

Fun fact: there is a chinese proto bird fossil that was named after Quetzalcóatl, the inspiration for the dye shop. Ironically, there are images of the Quetzalcóatl that are epic huge.

I believe the response to ren nationalizing the shops is to print some fiat currency. Take some paper to an anvil and rename it as one diamond- backed by the crown. If he's going to hold your diamonds for you, the least he can do is fund you.

I've always thought of you as the Armor Stand Specialist, but watching those timelapse clips really drives home just how much work and effort needs to be put in to make something amazing -- i struggle with just stacking blocks on a grid to make a building (rooftops are my bane!), yet here you are, making minute corrections to the armor stand's arms and making it look easy. dang, Cleo, you are putting in the work!

Very nice drangon-sanke! You could give it a white stripe on the middle of its tongue. This way you could use white slabs (quartz, snow) for a stairway to make access easier for your customers.
