“Christian“ and the reality of Christ are two different things. Not everything that is labeled as “Christian” is of Christ, or recognized by Christ. In this short, simple video, we look at the difference between the two.

That message has been on my heart lately. I was going to start asking people " Hey,does Jesus know you?" See how people react and give them exactly the message you just gave sir. Thank you because this video seems like a confirmation on a new way to approach people. Instead of asking "Do you know Jesus?" Asking Does Jesus know you. It would make people think and I would hope that it would get them to realize that they are not as close to God as they think. Thank you for your message. Some of my favourite verses are Ephesians 2:8 - 10. Most people will quote Ep. 2:8 but forget verses 9 and 10. It is God who bestows His grace on us that leads to faith that leads to good works. It is not the good works that saves us. They are simply the consequences of God's grace at work in us and the faith that arises out of that. All of Jesus, none of me. Blessings from Australia.

@ddontyy I've felt this way before too. in my experience, only time, wisdom and an open mind will bring understanding about things like this. The point here is, and what pretty much all new testament tries to teach us, is belief that Jesus Christ saw our flaws, our sin, and through love and grace gave his life for our eternal life, is the only way to heaven. If that's something you truly want....then that's the way. Being a "good" person is generally subjective and means nothing the day you die and meet our maker. Keep an open mind and look around, the answers will come if you're sincere. Or just keep thinking you already know and learn nothing.

I don't know who you are, I've never seen any of your content before. This just popped up in my feed. But I'm encouraged. Most of my Christian life was joyless and filled with anxiety because I was trying to please God with what I was doing, but I know I'd never be able to do good enough deeds to please him in any meaningful way. It wasn't until I ended up at my current church and was taught the distinction between the law and the gospel (most Churches collapse the two categories together) that I felt true joy and freedom. Funnily enough, good deeds became much easier after that because I knew my standing before God didn't depend on them, but solely depended on Christ's deeds for me. He didn't just set us free so that we could try and be righteous. He IS our righteousness.

@DMIwriter3 ай бұрын
@@Cooperatores_Veritatis Works are vitally important, yes. Just not for your salvation. We are saved by grace through faith so no one may boast, but a genuine faith will produce genuine works. Grace is the root of salvation, and works are the fruit. God needs nothing, he doesn't need our works, our works are for our neighbors, who we'll desire to love through our works when we realize the great love with which we've been loved. And all of it is Christ working through us. "Not the labors of my hands Can fulfill thy law's demands Could my zeal no respite know Could my tears forever flow These for sin could not attone Thou must save, and thou alone" It's like the armor of God. We're to put on the breastplate of righteousness. Who's righteousness? Certainly not ours. We put on His righteousness for us and then we're ready to go to battle. Likewise, after taking on his love for us, we're then ready to go out and love others with our works

By God's grace, I became born again in 2014 when I finally trusted the gospel and repented of my "good works". God changed me instantly and I have since become a thorn in the side of my loved ones. I come from an upstanding and devout Catholic family. These 10 years I have tried to show them the difference between trusting in their Church vs. trusting and obeying God. They still insist that they are safe in their religion and tell me not to judge. I show them Matt 7 and take them past the first verse! It's a terrifying chapter that should have any "believer in Jesus" nervous and start to search out God. But they cannot "see" it. Literally, they are spiritually blinded. The devils have them in severe bondage and they have no idea. I can show them verses of scripture and they do not "hear" it, or "see" it. It's an amazing thing! "This kind cometh not out but by prayer and fasting" is what Jesus told us to do when we encounter such impossible situations. Before I got saved, I was heavily into New Age spirituality (mixed with Catholicism.) A Christian had disturbed me by showing me a King James Bible and some verses in it that exposed my sins. I began repenting, and as I did...literally...I dry-heaved, and had diarrhea at times. I'm not kidding. That was God delivering me of devils! The only thing that helped me was reading God's word and praying for God to help me, forgive me. A few months later, I finally "heard" the gospel and I got saved! You see, as long as I had devils blinding me to God's word, I could not see it to believe it. God did a miracle in me when I began to humble myself before him and he opened my eyes to be able to see and hear His word. Isn't that amazing!? I give God all the glory.

If we believe in Christ, we don't just follow one verse. We follow every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

I think another common way people miss the mark is by ignoring creation entirely in an effort to be pious. People treat the earth and our time on it as meaningless and only focus on what happens after. Zooming out for a second, the awe you should feel from looking at the stars or a mountain, every bite of food, the sensation of music etc is a gift from God and there is a purpose to it. All of creation, including other people, is a gift. Once you can look at people and all of creation through the lens of awe and love (agape), your will will be more in alignment with the will of God and you can begin to intuit who Jesus is.

PLUS, and this is a big plus, you have a promise in Jn 14:26 "The Comforter, who is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, HE SHALL TEACH YOU ALL THINGS, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said to you." The Holy Spirit will teach you the Bible. He will give you the right interpretation. He will give you the truth of God, and teach it to you himself through his Word. You can put your faith in what it says. But more than that, you can put your faith in God to make clear what he says, and how it applies to you.

I Thirst for You "Behold, I stand at the door and knock… (Rev. 3, 20) It is true. I stand at the door of your heart, day and night. Even when you are not listening, even when you doubt it could be Me, I am there. I await even the smallest sign of your response, even the least whispered invitation that will allow Me to enter into your heart. And I want you to know that whenever you invite Me, I always come - always, without fail. Silent and unseen I come, but with infinite power and love, and bringing the many gifts of My Spirit. I come with My mercy and My desire to forgive and heal you, and with a love for you beyond your comprehension - a love every bit as great as the love I have received from the Father. As much as the Father has loved me, I have loved you. I come longing to console you and give you strength, to lift you up and bind all your wounds. I bring you My light, to dispel your darkness and all your doubts. I come with My power, that I might carry you and all your burdens; with My grace, to touch your heart and transform your life; and My peace will I give to still your soul. I know you through and through. I know everything about you. The very hairs of your head I have numbered. Nothing in your life is unimportant to Me. I have followed you through the years, and I have always loved you - even in your wanderings. I know every one of your problems. I know your needs and your worries. And yes, I even know every one of your sins. But I tell you again that I love you - not for what you have or haven’t done - I love you for you, for the beauty and dignity My Father gave you by creating you in His own image. It is a dignity you have often forgotten, a beauty you have tarnished by sin. But I love you as you are, and I have shed My Blood to win you back. If you only ask Me with faith, My grace will touch all that needs changing in your life, and I will give you the strength to free yourself from sin and all its destructive power. I know what is in your heart - I know your loneliness and all your hurts - the rejections, the judgments, the humiliations, I carried it all before you. And I carried it all for you, so you might share My strength and victory. I know especially your need for love - how you are thirsting to be loved and cherished. But how often have you thirsted in vain, by seeking that love selfishly, striving to fill the emptiness inside you with passing pleasures - with the even greater emptiness of sin. Do you thirst for love? "Come to Me all you who thirst…" (Jn. 7: 37). I will satisfy you and fill you. Do you thirst to be cherished? I cherish you more than you can imagine - to the point of dying on a cross for you. I Thirst for You. Yes, that is the only way to even begin to describe My love for you. I THIRST FOR YOU. I thirst to love you and to be loved by you - that is how precious you are to Me. I THIRST FOR YOU. Come to Me, and I will fill your heart and heal your wounds. I will make you a new creation, and give you peace, even in all your trials I THIRST FOR YOU. You must never doubt My mercy, My acceptance of you, My desire to forgive, My longing to bless you and live My life in you. I THIRST FOR YOU. If you feel unimportant in the eyes of the world, that matters not at all. For Me, there is no one any more important in the entire world than you. I THIRST FOR YOU. Open to Me, come to Me, thirst for Me, give me your life - and I will prove to you how important you are to My Heart. Don’t you realize that My Father already has a perfect plan to transform your life, beginning from this moment? Trust in Me. Ask Me every day to enter and take charge of your life. - and I will. I promise you before My Father in heaven that I will work miracles in your life. Why would I do this? Because I THIRST FOR YOU. All I ask of you is that you entrust yourself to Me completely. I will do all the rest. Even now I see the place My Father has prepared for you in My Kingdom. Remember that you are a pilgrim in this life, on a journey home. Sin can never satisfy you, or bring the peace you seek. All that you have sought outside of Me has only left you more empty, so do not cling to the things of this life. Above all, do not run from Me when you fall. Come to Me without delay. When you give Me your sins, you gave Me the joy of being your Savior. There is nothing I cannot forgive and heal; so come now, and unburden your soul. No matter how far you may wander, no matter how often you forget Me, no matter how many crosses you may bear in this life; there is one thing I want you to always remember, one thing that will never change. I THIRST FOR YOU - just as you are. You don’t need to change to believe in My love, for it will be your belief in My love that will change you. You forget Me, and yet I am seeking you every moment of the day - standing at the door of your heart and knocking. Do you find this hard to believe? Then look at the cross, look at My Heart that was pierced for you. Have you not understood My cross? Then listen again to the words I spoke there - for they tell you clearly why I endured all this for you. Yes, I thirst for you. All your life I have been looking for your love - I have never stopped seeking to love you and be loved by you. You have tried many other things in your search for happiness; why not try opening your heart to Me, right now, more than you ever have before. Whenever you do open the door of your heart, whenever you come close enough, you will hear Me say to you again and again, not in mere human words but in spirit. "No matter what you have done, I love you for your own sake Come to Me with your misery and your sins, with your troubles and needs, and with all your longing to be loved. I stand at the door of your heart and knock. Open to Me, for I THIRST FOR YOU…"

Many take james "faith without works is dead" out of context and twist it causing fear and confusion causing people to be religouess or clean their life up that Jesus will maybe accept them. There is no hope or assurance in calvanism or any kind of work based lordship doctrine. Its the people who trust in the blood, the testimony of God concerning his son, who are saved. You either trust him or dont. The true lukewarmness the bible talks about is the people who mix law and grace, striving in their flesh for a heavenly wage, while calling the work on the cross insufficient in their hearts, which counts as unbelief. I feel more at church sitting in my chair listening to you talk about the Word than I ever have and most likely ever will attending a building with infiltrators. Also, just great video and thank Jesus for allowing you to get the message out. The part about differentiating between believing in and believing on allowed me examine myself to realize even more how loving Jesus is. Amen, brother you have gotten a new subscriber.

Amen. Through Jesus is the only way to god. It's impossible to live through the commandments. He died for our sins and to dare say i was a good christian is faulty. What you've done is nothing in the eyes of god, the only way to god is through believing in Jesus who made it possible for us.

Jesus says you should know one by their fruits. If a tree produces good fruit you will pick it, if a tree produces bad fruit then you will stay away. He always says to leave the 99 to find the one. That it’s true that there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner that repents than over 99 righteous people who don’t. Luke 15:1-7. I am a Christian, I’m not perfect, I has fallen short many times, but my hope still stand with him. I know he can lead anyone out of a bad situation, or get someone who is mentally ill or even physically sick into healing. He is the miracle worker. Thank you Dwayne for this video. God bless you

Trust in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 to be SAVED (verse 2). Once you trust in Christ’ finished work, you are baptized by the SPIRIT into ONE BODY (1 Corinthians 12:13). It’s the same Spirit baptism that John the Baptist was talking about in Matthew 3. It’s not the water baptism that you need to be saved. The “one body” is called the BODY OF CHRIST. Which is the church today. Christ is the HEAD of his body. Once you are baptized by the Holy Spirit, you are SEALED UNTIL THE DAY OF REDEMPTION (Ephesians 1:12-14). There’s NOTHING you can do to unseal yourself. You are HIS until he comes back. Ephesians 2:8-9. It’s a FREE GIFT. Not of works. Stop trusting in yourselves and believe in Him who died and rose again 🙌🏽✝️🙌🏽

Hey! I have a little confusion. What about 1 Thessalonians 4:3 "It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality." Isn't that shows, that the will of the Father is also avoiding sins? So not just believe? There are few more passeges about God's will than John 6:40

Sorry but that's not what it said, it said to believe. The only condition to receiving eternal life is trusting in him alone. Believing on him, who he is (God) and what he did on your behalf (paid your sin debt in full). It's not about a special prayer or any work you do, it's trusting that he paid the punishment you deserve in Hell in full, therefore you cannot become unsaved, if you ever trusted in him to be your only reason into heaven 😊, God bless!!!!

@@Jesusbloodissufficient9434 Have you got a verse to backup your comment?
@Jesusbloodissufficient94343 ай бұрын
@@daveyofyeshua Absolutely! There are many verses, such as John 6:40 and basically all of John 6 teaches that being saved and staying saved is dependent upon a single moment of faith, but if you want more, I am willing to share. First let's read how eternal life is free and I will also prove that you cannot become unsaved, with scriptures. Eternal life is called a gift of God: Romans 6:23 King James Version 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. If eternal life is a gift of God, that alone already proves that being saved isn't by our works, because a gift isn't something rewarded by works, but rather something freely received. Secondly, if this gift is eternal life, it would be a contradiction by definition if your eternal life could be revoked, it wouldn't therefore be eternal. Not enough? Well let's go here, which further backs this up: Ephesians 2:8-9 King James Version 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Now we once again see that the gift of God is saving us by his grace, not by our church attendance, etc. Allow me to also further prove that once someone is saved, they're always saved: Romans 11:29 King James Version 29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. Now what makes this verse so significant in proving eternal security? Let's look into the original definition of "repentance" in this context. ἀμεταμέλητος ametamelētos am-et-am-el'-ay-tos From G1 (as a negative particle) and a presumed derivative of G3338; irrevocable: - without repentance, not to be repented of. Irrevocable it says, so if God's gifts are irrevocable and eternal life by God's grace IS a gift of God, it cannot be revoked, it's irrevocable according to Romans 11:29. The issue is those who add works to the gospel, they are as those people who will say "Lord Lord", even if they believe in the gospel, they had some level of trust in themselves, their works, like people who think it's Jesus blood + something else, such as praying continually and giving thanks in all circumstances, which is good to do, but trusting in that also to be role to being saved instead of the gospel alone, is believing in vain. I intend no disrespect towards you, in-fact this is love with hope that you trust in Christ alone to save you, which is his will. If the law must be kept at all, then all of the law must be kept: Galatians 5:3 King James Version 3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. If you're guilty of breaking any of the law, you're guilty of breaking all of the law: James 2:10 King James Version 10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. So it's either you follow 613 commands of God perfectly (nobody possibly can) or you trust in Christ who paid your full debt on your behalf. If Jesus paid your full debt of sin, is there any sin left for you to pay for in Hell? No, if you accept this gift by trusting, therefore is it by our own works, or by accepting his finished redemptive work on your behalf? There's no balance: Romans 11:6 King James Version 6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. Also, if Jesus pays for all of your sins, how can your sins revoke being secured in Christ? If so be that he indeed paid for every sin. Here's more: Romans 4:4-6 King James Version 4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Once saved, always saved by grace through faith alone, accepting his gift of eternal life isn't a meritorial condition, God bless.

You have a wonderful gift of speaking truth, specifically biblical truth, without muddying up the water with man’s opinion or self inflicted religious rituals. The gospel message of Jesus Christ isn’t complicated but it has been twisted into what man’s opinion is of it - largely in part by today’s preachers. Great video, Sir.

Dwayne, thank you for putting this content out. Mat. 7:3-14 really are terrifying verses. Because “most” are doomed for destruction and “few” will be spared, how do you deal with the statistical probably most of your family and friends will perish? How do you know you are among the few and not deluded like the many “Lord, Lord” criers? I’d like to think Jesus knows me, but how would I truly know that my faith is accepted and genuine until the day Christ makes His final judgment?

As great as of this message was, I feel you didn't address a key part. Starting in chapter Matthew 7:15 “Be careful of false prophets. They come to you and look gentle like sheep. But they are really dangerous like wolves. 16 You will know these people because of what they do. Good things don’t come from people who are bad, just as grapes don’t come from thornbushes, and figs don’t come from thorny weeds. 17 In the same way, every good tree produces good fruit, and bad trees produce bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot produce good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not produce good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 You will know these false people by what they do.[a] This is addressing those who are false preachers, who do not teach or walk in Jesus Christs work. 21 “Not everyone who calls me Lord will enter God’s kingdom. The only people who will enter are those who do what my Father in heaven wants. 22 On that last Day many will call me Lord. They will say, ‘Lord, Lord, by the power of your name we spoke for God. And by your name we forced out demons and did many miracles.’ 23 Then I will tell those people clearly, ‘Get away from me, you people who do wrong. I never knew you.’ These people are people who have not walked the way of Christ know this and preach to their own worldly gain, preaching about which is what they want to hear rather than the teachings of Christ.
