Totally agree Jeff and I had a really very traumatic event recently in my family and I needed to hear this as my sense and practice of presence has went out the window just when I really need it so thanks 🙏

I'm still there. It almost feels like an attack from somewhere. I know that's still an excuse. As important as it is to meditate, I still struggle with doing it when I should.❤👍👍👍👍

Hi Jeff. I want to meditate so so so bad. But I think I have some form of OCD. Or am just massively un healed, but whenever I meditate I just spiral and become hard on myself for doing it wrong no matter what I do. Even if it’s because I’m ‘not opening my arms wide to the pain’ and then I just struggle to get behind the anxiety and spiral. It feels like I can’t accept it at all no matter how hard i try, and I would do it everyday for a year but just ended up with derealisation and I’m just generally struggling so much at the moment. I want to meditate so bad, I feel like it could be so helpful.

That's okay. For lots of people with trauma, mental illnesses, meditation is borderline impossible. I remember when my OCD was at an all time high, I couldn't't even rest for a moment, let alone meditate. I hope you find the strength to reach out for help first before meditating.

Point for me is that if I'm tired I will just fall asleep. I don't mind falling asleep necesarrily, but I'd rather do the full meditation when I can stay awake.

I'm having trouble keeping up that curiousity.. I know that I will need to meet my pain when I meditate and when it is 24/7 for several years the curiousity seems to fade. I have a very active kundalini awakening going on and it has made me experience all kinds of weird things in my body. Finally also that becomes ordinary and you have to find new motivation for meditation. Now I mostly do it because I have to, not because I want to. It kind of becomes the new way of being.

Jeff explains in deep acceptance, that it is all your ideas of pain that "what it does, how you don't want to be seen as a victim of it, how it is someone shouldn't be in and all the concepts and ideas around it that adds to your suffering and you unnecessarily magnify it

Over the years Ive found that any concept of anything including non attachment, present moment ,just being with 'myself' and any thing else you can day dream of is all hard work to little effect.I'm not saying the just shut your eyes and wait and see what happens approach sends me into Buddahood(it hasnt yet anyway)but its alot less effort.If the peace of God passeth all understanding whats the point in trying to understand it....JM expirence.Maybe different for others✌️
