What a relief, the permission to simply be with what is, as you are, held and accepted by the undying now. I’m almost two years sober and allowing myself to feel exhausted of the running has been crucial. I want to be here now, as much as I can be ❤ Thank you for all you do. Your “work” (if you see it as such) does not go unappreciated. I look forward to the webinar. Love to all, but what’s behind the word - the source that it signifies, and not the letters that seek to capture it. ❤❤❤

Haha, that's so ironic. Sometimes we feel lost in life and we want guidance through meditation, but meditation is also probably the embracing of no goalnwss. Kist sitting here, clueless. That's fantastic, actually, hahaha. ❤😂🎉❤

So agree with you about meditation bringing you back into the present moment and every time that I settle down to meditate it’s because I am so unsettled and my mind is racing… but once I begin to meditate after a period of time, the mind and the body slows down and it always takes a lot of practice, but nowadays, I can’t live without meditation. It’s part of who I am. It’s at the core of my being I don’t know what I would do without it. I think I would end up doing drugs.!

I love that glorious hair of yours. Hahaha. 💚 I never forget that one statement about meditation that helped me tremendously and is pretty much the same what you just said. There's nothing to gain from meditation. It's an entirely destructive process. - we meditate so often with the goal of becoming peaceful and content. But that's already your true being. With meditation falls all that stuff away that covers your true being.

In that case, there is a goal: To be present. My agenda and the agenda of all meditators, is to be present, and to thereby become a mindful and awake person. When I feel I have failed to be present, I judge myself as unmindful, heedless and a failure at meditation. I say to myself, " Why cant I be present like all the great spiritual masters!? I am a really screwed up person. " Meditation seems like just one more thing in life that I am failing at. And dont we mediatate to achieve awakening? I feel awful that that isnt even close to happening either.

What is meditation? In order to answer the question of what meditation is, we should first answer the question of what a human being is. All people on this earth share exactly the same inner nature. We humans consist roughly of three processes. A thought process, an emotional process and a physical process. The mental process is about being able to think, thoughts come to our mind all the time, we have a memory and we have a self-image. The emotional process is about all the different emotions that we can experience. And the physical process is about our physical body, it's about our actions that do with the body and it's about what our consciousness is. On the surface, we all know how it works. No weirdness. It is one thing to understand how you yourself function as a human being, but it is another thing to have the ability to manage your reactions, thoughts, feelings and actions. Meditation is simply a tool for learning to observe one's three inner processes. Observe your thoughts, feelings and physical body. And get in touch with your true inner conscious self. In this way, you practice your inner ability to take control of your own inner life. If you don't have control over your own reactions, thoughts and feelings, you can't be master of your own actions in your life either. Then you are usually a victim of your own reactions, thoughts, feelings and actions. Which means suffering. The very word meditation means and aims to observe something. Just like when we watched television, we observe the television set with our eyes. When we meditate, we turn off the television and close our eyes and begin to observe our three inner processes with our inner conscious eyes. From my book Meditation på ren svenska, only in Swedish

I've been getting mixed feelings and just curious if you have any thoughts on the topic of the energy healing clearing? Since we are not letting anything go , where are theses emotions being released or removed to? Kindest Regards 💓 Joanna

I feel like the whole thing is so contradictory. If true meditation is about being "supremely present", then that is a goal in itself, isn't it?
@lifewithoutacentre
@lifewithoutacentre 23 күн бұрын
Great comment. It’s all such a paradox. Yes, the mind can even make “being present” into a goal, when of course, it’s not. It’s more like, presence is always here. We can just remember that. Or not…. And even the not remembering is happening in presence!!!! So in a deeper sense we can’t go in or out of Presence….
@ritika15996

That makes me wonder, if both remembering and forgetting presence is similarly a part of inhabiting the present moment, then what is our ‘why’ behind stillness or accessing awareness in the first place? This aspect of the ‘making room for everything’ has made it much harder to direct my attention to my body’s needs for grounding and spaciousness, if that makes sense, since all states are equally ‘acceptable’. Would be very thankful for any insight anyone has on this.

But I don't see the need to sit down to meditate. Why not be aware of what is going on in you in daily life where it matters most?
@lifewithoutacentre
@lifewithoutacentre 23 күн бұрын
True. You don't need to sit down. Meditation can happen anywhere at any time. Some people just find it really helpful to sit down and close their eyes. Helps them centre themselves and let go of the thousands of distractions. Ultimately you're right it's not necessary to sit down!
@erwinfelis
@erwinfelis 19 күн бұрын
If that's the case, I suppose there's nothing wrong with that. There is something to practicing a sitting meditation, though, that has a very real effect on your brain/mind that is much different than simply noticing things during your waking day to day state. It's not just bs or a waste of time. There is a reason why it has been a practice for several thousands of years. There is a very different effect on the mind from sitting still in meditation with your eyes closed vs your eyes open with your body in motion. I wouldn't downplay the advantages of doing just that when there are certain benefits you can get from doing specifically that that you couldn't get from constantly playing the game of being aware as much as possible during day to day activities and calling that meditation. Which can definitely create a state of confusion as you can constantly chase trying to be aware and meditating vs just trying to live your life. I'm speaking from experience. No. I'm saying actually sit down to meditate and then go about your daily activities and forget about meditation during your waking life. Trust me, you'll be much happier this way.
@sanekabc
@sanekabc 19 күн бұрын
@@erwinfelis I am not proposing trying to notice throughout the day but when a trigger thought/emotion arises, for awareness to also arise and to understand and see clearly everything that is going on when inner conflict arises and see why it is false. If this is seen, the meditative state arises by itself.
@erwinfelis
@erwinfelis 19 күн бұрын
@@sanekabc When you are experiencing something that triggers a negative state of mind is the wrong moment for a meditative state to spontaneously emerge. It is also the wrong time to look at things clearly. It is precisely the wrong time for any of that. Well, under ordinary circumstances it is. You have the ability to analyze something even in the midst of it causing you distress. You can get in your head with it all you want. That doesn't mean that you will automatically be okay with whatever happened. It's why people talk about practicing sitting meditation for an extended period of time, so that when you are in a moment of crisis, maybe finally you will be in the state of mind to be able to have a meditative moment during something that triggers you like you say. When you sit to meditate, it is developing something. It's just that it's easier to dismiss what is being developed because it's not as easy to see as when you are doing physical exercise. Like more and more sessions of weightlifting develop your muscles and your strength, more and more sessions of meditation develop internal qualities that allow your inner experience to be better. Otherwise, no. Meditative experiences don't spontaneously arise during normal moments of the day. Nor is that even necessarily desirable. You don't meditate in order to feel like you're on drugs and have a trippy experience. You do it in order for your life to get better. There are certain ways in which you do that that work just like there are certain physical exercises that work. Sure, it's not bad to try to be mindful when you are feeling upset about something, but it's really a bad time for it as your emotions are usually too strong and overwhelming to experience clarity of thought. Just like when you are mountain climbing it's easy to say hold on tight when you see someone else slipping, but a lot harder to do in the moment. That's why the mountain climber builds those muscles in advance, in order to be more prepared for those moments.
