You can mix scales in some instances: 3.3/4 X-men vs builds a figure Apocalypse. 3.3/4 ATAT Walker verses Micro Galaxy Snow Speeder. Chug scale Metroplex vs Legends Optimus prime. Etc.

I picked up the Paz Vizsla figure from this line because the TVC "deluxe" version feels too small when you stand him up next to other 3.75" figures. This 4" version actually seems to be more correctly scaled when standing next to other figures.

Apologies for banging on about this in the comments, but standard POTF2 figures were 6 POA not 5. How could you forget about the all important waist POA 😉

I’ll probably stick with vintage collection. However if they make any good vehicles in this new line I’ll get them.

Height doesn't matter for the stormtroopers since it's canon that they're not all the same height! Especially after episode 4 since they were no longer clones.

Maybe Hasbro thought we wouldn't know the difference, then again maybe they did it because of the costs.

I'm very leery of scale changes, but I think that goes back to the trauma of when Hasbro switched scales of G.I. Joe when it transitioned from the Real American Hero line to Sgt. Savage. I like the Savage vehicle line, but the figures looked grossly out of place next to the "conventional" figures we had for a decade. The vehicles did alright but the figures didn't quite look right in them at the scale my brother and I had collected for so long. As a Dad, I was less thrilled about scale changes on such a small level. I really just wanted my sons and their friends to be able to play without worrying about if a new toy looked weird to them because of size.

I’m die hard 3 3/4, in particular the TVC and Retro lines. Only a smattering of 6”. And almost only OT era (for cost reasons). I was all-in for the well sculpted Mission Series line but it ended far too soon. I’m not starting on yet another line, yet another scale. This new 4” scale line should have been just a continuation of the Mission Series-5poa and low cost.

I actually like having a Mando figure in a POTF2 style, even if the scale isn't exactly the same.

Why did they change the scale? Thats an interesting question. 9 minute ramble later I have no idea why they changed the scale.

I think it's so that they never have to wade too deeply into the Star Wars character selection pool and they can just keep selling the same main characters over and over again. Darth Vader, Mandalorians, Jedi Luke, Stormtroopers, etc. In Hasbro's mind, if they can't sell those characters, then they can't sell anything.

So they can sell you new ships?

almost none of Hasbro’s The Vintage Collection figures figures measure 3.75” inches. Generally speaking they are a little bigger than that. This is because each character is 1/18th of the actors real world height.

I love to collect kenner, some retro collection, custom kenner / Stan Solo, and SH Figuarts Star Wars. FYI: the epic heroes paz vizsla + VC paz vizsla jet pack/gun is excellent for the retro collection mandalorian display. Scale is perfect, and the jet pack is a nice snug fit with no modification necessary. Have fun!

@carlo2384.. you buy that Stan the con man Solo crap? You do know he served time for sell countfit merchandise and he is a vile nasty person who has sent death threats to other KZbin channels as well as his own customers .. I'm not making that up .

@williamwilkinson6665 My goodness! I've heard about reprocop nut jobs, but to actually encounter one is quite the experience! I thought, surely a grown adult would not act so childishly over... toys? Yet, here you are. Yes, I have most of StanSolo's product and can happily confirm they are of the highest quality, and they fit seamlessly into a Kenner display. I trust my eyes and not your nonsense. Happy Easter.

Too many 90s and 2000s figures in the main line were a little larger than 3.75 inch, so an serious completist needs to excise those past figures from their collection or include these as well. There has been variability of the scale in the lines through the decades.
@williamsorrells60587 ай бұрын
Hold on I need to correct something, the mission series are not 3 inch figures they're more 2 inch, I know this because I'm an old school fan of M.A.S.K., DINORIDERS, SKYCOMMANDERS, VOR-TECH, and Exo-squad. Stand a mission fleet figure next to say matt Trakker it looks like a kid about to go out trick or treating. Now on an argument of scale it more or less depends on your imagination, take the Darth maul walking unit from wave one of mission fleet, that can easily pass for an attack drone in my 1/24 scale collection. Or let's go with a humanoid form. The frost giants from the first Thor movie can easily pass off as an alien race, or neo-sapien experiment. Robotech is a great example of this you had 3 3/4 figures and 12 inch figures, you could have the 3 3/4 figures of the characters, and 12inch of the zentraedi figures on the same shelf and knowing what these are from it would make since on the spike in scale size. Let's go with X-Men, say you have a 3 3/4 figures of ice-man and a 12 inch. Well it's ice-man who says he couldn't make an ice golem of himself. Toys were meant to inspire creativity and imagination, why limit both by just saying these are the rules of scale I must follow, really the only rules you need to follow are, how much space you have, how much disposable income you are willing to use, and how much you care about the line.

My reaction to all the different sized action figures is . . . STOP! JUST STOP! We don't need action figures in every size increment that exists. Sometimes too much of a good thing . . . or STAR WARS action figures, isn't a good thing.
@paulfrench72227 ай бұрын
These figures aren't for "us." They're for the newest generation of kids who don't have 3 3/4" figures and also didn't get the recent 3" figures.

@@paulfrench7222 My argument still stands. There's NO need for all these different sizes, not to mention the seemingly random figures chosen to be included in these collections.

1/4 of an inch is no big deal and fits in with the 3.75 figures . The same goes for the McFarlane Super Powers line. Despite what some anal retintive, up tight KZbinrs say (Restroblasting) they fit nicely with the vintage Supers line , sure they dont have action gimmicks but i always thought the gimmicks were lame and unnecessary

Yeah, with better options for star wars, these aren't worth picking up. But the Marvel ones are generally pretty nice, the Marvel one's are nicer, the X-Men ones are certainly worth a look if you're into X-Men and don't have the characters in a previous released line
