Looks and sounds awesome! Being I suck at guitar and am a Bassist. Building a bass is definitely on my Bucket build list!

Yes! You should totally do it, only be careful, it’s definitely a drug and you’ll be addicted and not wanna work on anything else. And I love some good bass playing, but I pretty much suck at guitar too, I need to get Adam to demo it

You have some of the greatest cats ever lol. You can tell a lot of hard work and love went into that guitar. I can’t imagine how long it took to get the contour on the front just right. The cherry butcher block look also reminds me of a bowling alley look. Loved the longer video too.

Oh man, doing that contour was tough! Every time I thought I had it I had to work on it some more. It could still be a little better honestly. And man, those cats. No amount of work or power tools phases them a bit. They always wanna be right up in my business.

Awesome build. So much work! Puck rules! He is such a honey badger. (Search on YT) I love how you play your creations at the end of your vids. You need more subs. Love your stuff.

Thank you! Puck is super cute, but man I wish he’d be willing to give me some space while I’m working! And I’m for sure not the best guitar player, but I can’t build it and leave y’all hanging on the sound. Thanks for the appreciation!

Hey would this work if I just bought butcher block and made it?

Beautiful guitar build! Great job. Just a question, since you had such a nice big piece of cherry, enough to use as a solid top for the body, why did you cut in stripes and glued them together? You intented to create that "cutting board" look? Keep rockin'!

Good question! And thank you! It was almost wide enough for a top, but not quite. Either way, the cutting board look was the desired effect for the top. I was looking at the bottom of a trailer at my job, and it was made in the “butcher block” style and I thought it would make a really cool look for a guitar. You keep rockin’ as well!

Your neck pickup is in backwards. Good looking guitar though. 👍

Also I have a big piece of butcher block can I just cut my guitar out of that?
@MeansWoodshop
@MeansWoodshop 4 жыл бұрын
I don’t see why not, as long as there’s enough room to cut it out on there.
