kinda jealous of that skottle. I've got a Blackstone 17" griddle, but that skottle looks really interesting to cook on. Good vid as usual.

Always enjoy new inspiration for camp meals. Looked super tasty. I've seen the Skottle plenty of times on various channels and thought it seemed neat but unnecessary...until you made the point about cooking one ingredient, then being able to slide it over and keep it warm while cooking some other stuff over the hot spot...that appeals to me immensely. I do all my cooking over a single burner stove and that is precisely the weakness of my setup whenever I want to cook something more complex than heating a can of chili, LOL. Excellent, effective demo.

Great video as usual! I suggest cooking things you dont want to burn/ overcook about half way and putting them in a seperate container while you cook your veg . Then just mix back in when the veg is almost done. You will avoid possible spillage and still have everything finish at the same time. Cheers!

Man, 200-300 dollars for a Skottle!?! I use an old unserrated disk plow over the fire or, the propane burner. Just drilled and tapped it for legs and welded handles on it. Maybe I should try to market it. Great cooking video though, will try it out.😀

Oops . . . mother nature can play tricks (sun & smoke don't mix!). I agree on the Price, ouch, Everything at Tembo is "Pricy". I use a Stainless Steel 10" skillet by Solidteknics USA. Great at 1/3rd the cost - and WILL last many lifetimes. Will the Skottle? Full disclosure, I do not work for them or do review videos - just a retired Navy guy who really enjoys the outdoors & fly fishing . . . oh and cooking up a good hot meal once in awhile, ha. Jason should "reach out" to the folks at Solidteknics USA ? I'll be checking out Butcher Box.

Another great video Jason always enjoy them. You know when I've been out and wanted to try something new like your scuttle I got out the old miners tin (gold pan) it works great like yours and we usually have it with us.
@6Mictian94 жыл бұрын
Agreed. I bought mine separately (Discada (carbon steel)) and just use a turkey friar base which is adjustable coincidentally. All in all cost me $130 for both if you add the price of the turkey fryer which I have had for years. Purchased my 20" discada from Amazon and just use my turkey fryer. I do use the large propane tanks but you can easily change out the line or fitting to use the smaller bottles.
@haydeepearce19965 жыл бұрын
I do like your cooking videos and hope you do more. What I don’t like is the price of that skottle. In my opinion, it is overpriced.
