You know, this is one of those rare times where I fall in love with a game. Not because of the character or creature designs or anything like that, but because of the absolutely breathtaking story building and creativity as to the story. This game makes sure you don't skip anything, not only because you cannot, but also because of sheer curiosity. I've never played this before, so no spoilers here, just someone who loves the game.

The quantum moon and interloper are somewhat optional but please do them since there are some significant parts of the story there. If you don't figure out what the 46 probes mean by the end you should look up a full explanation of the game after you finish it. It just gets more impressive when you understand everything.

46 not bad. also "more to explore here" only disappears if you have scanned every single piece of text in the space. if you even missed a single scan it will say "more to explore." even if the scan is a duplicate from another planet, or flavor text.

I agree, but not start DLC until 100% sure what the steps are to reach the ending. That said, both are perfectly valid approaches. The only bad way is do the ending of the game, and do the ending of the DLC without redoing the game ending again.

Very good, you've gotten through the second hardest thing (for you) to do in the game, reach the core of Giant's Deep! But once you find [REDACTED] you'll have something much worse to deal with. For now... 1; try to find a way through the biggest cyclone, 2; teleport back to the sun station and find the courage to jump across open space to the other half, 3; as things fall through the black hole of Brittle Hollow they may become easier to explore in the deep space around the white hole.
