Hi Martin Am just giving you some tips on cooking steak if you use these tips or try them it’s up to you as it’s your kitchen. 1 heat your frying pan without oil first as soon as your frying pan is hot ( watch for the indicator on your frying pan handle turn red to signify it is hot ) then add your oil, your oil will become hot quickly, then add your steak , do not Touch your steak or play with it for at least 2-3 minutes after that time you can lift your steak with tongs to look underneath to see if it has taken on the colour you desired ( Maillard reaction ) then flip it over, cook for a further 2-3 minutes. Add butter at the end of cooking off the heat, you will get the most flavour out of the butter on your steak if you put it in at the end of cooking. It was me who told you about the kerrygold butter from grass fed cows as I can see you love it as I do. Now am going to tell you about the best salt to use when cooking meat or fish trusted by the best chefs. It’s called: Fleur de sel premium sea salt rich in minerals and lower in sodium, your steak will taste amazing. You can buy it on Amazon. please don’t use the frying pan lid whilst cooking your steak as this will start to steam your steak if your worried about fat splattered on your hob use a splatter guard also sold on Amazon. Once your steak is resting on a plate or cutting board then add your eggs to the frying pan with frying pan lid on. Best regards.

I used to be a fishmonger at Morrisons, Believe it or not , fish shouldn’t smell like fish at all , Even if you catch a fish in sea gut and fillet it straight away you will not smell fish , If you do go past fish counter and smell fish , know hygiene and fish dates are not quite right , By the time u buy fish At supermarket It’s prob been on the travels for 6-9 days before you purchase,better off going to fish key harbour and getting straight off boat fresh and cheaper All the best ☺️
@WeAreThePeople169010 ай бұрын
Should smell of the sea. I used to work in the transport/warehousing side of the industry up here, and I agree with everything you said 6-9 days is also about right. And that is before it goes near a shelf, or counter! Stuff that lay too long in our warehouse went, on the same trailer as the fresh stuff, to make cat food. Think about that too, when you are feeding your cat it's Salmon Selects. It was sitting on pallets, turning green, beforehand!

To add more flavor to your steak, cook in butter
@bucko651510 ай бұрын
You can’t cook steak in butter, your butter will burn before your meat > chicken > steaks or fish is cooked, because butter has milk with protein and they burn cooking on a high heat, you get the most out of butter if you put it in your pan with the steak at the end of cooking.
@annecdavies135010 ай бұрын
It is fine to cook it in butter, I do it all the time, I also cook them in beef dripping.
@bucko651510 ай бұрын
@@annecdavies1350 To cook a steak your frying pan should be preheated until it reaches 170c - 190c if you add only butter to this temperature it will absolutely burn before your steak is cooked. On the other hand if you combine beef dripping and butter together it will save the butter from burning but by adding the butter at the end of cooking you will get the most taste out of the butter. As I said it’s it’s your kitchen, cook it how you like it. Have a lovely day.

Any red fluid you see coming out of your steak is likely water and myoglobin, not blood. What happens when you cook meat? - Myoglobin is made of a protein and a heme ring, which contains an iron atom, both of which change when meat is cooked: The protein denatures, and the state of the iron changes.

I Was on Carnavore for 2 years. Yes I lost weight,but I started to get sick of meat. I actually used to feel sick eating it. Some people do a 5 day egg fast and then have a dislike for eggs. I was getting that way with meat..So I went Keto,more variety. I have been on Keto for 5 years now. I feel much better on that. I missed my above ground veg and salads. I lost more weight on Keto. Follow Dr Berry, Dr Westman, and Jason Fung..I have noticed tho,that Dr Berry has put weight on around his tummy,has a bit of a belly. As Dr Westman said,as he thinks Keto and the Carnavore is good for health..Both Berry and Westman interview each other...As Westman said..To much butter,fat protien will make a person gain weight..He promotes Carnivore and Keto. You lose weight at first,but to much butter protein,people can gain weight. Even peoole on Keto sometimes over do it with the cheese and Almond flour,and cream..Then they wonder why they gain weight. Everything in moderation,even with keto and Carnavore. That is a hell of a lot of protien Martin. Still you are enjoying it.

Always remembered watching Gary Rhodes make a Shepherd's Pie. It was a 2-day affair with him of course! But, what he did teach me was exactly what Sharon did: place the mashed spuds around rhe outside first and fill in the middle last. This helps stop all the gravy coming up over the spuds. Common sense, l know, but I'll admit to having just dumped it all over the show prior to that. And yes, it did used to look a state!😂

@coolerkin @helendavies2241 Frozen at sea is as good as what you buy "fresh" from a supermarket, if not better. Frozen after landing depends on how long it took to catch, land, and freeze it. But I would say it's still superior to supermarkets "fresh" fish. It's best to buy from a good fishmonger, if you want quality, the closer you are to the coast the better it will be as well.
