Just found these two, what a duo. Only wanted a bit of info on air fryers and came away with the best entertainers this decade.
@alisoncooper1421 Жыл бұрын
I live in New Zealand and came across them one sleepless night, had a wee binge session looking at the various recipes they cooked, and bought an air fryer the next week. Best investment I have ever made. As they say, the power bill dropped and a dietician said cooking this way was saving about 1500 calories a week so extra good if one is trying to lose weight. My favourite recipe is Sharon's Bread and Butter pudding.

When I was at secondary school back in the 70's, we use to do a subject called 'home economics', that taught basic cooking skills, this was removed from the curriculum in later years. You guys are providing an important social skill to the public, 'how to cook', 'm grateful that cooking skills, you teach are essential survival skills, and a 'poke in the eye to 'money making corporations'. Know we all have a choice on what to eat, but a knowledge of cooking is a great survival skill. Well done you guys.

Agreed. They should show these videos at school for teenagers and then let them make the recipe themselves.

@In My Opinion I think the important point is "home economics" is sadly missed on the curriculum for any gender youngsters these days. Basic cooking, budgeting, and those sort of things are vital in managing your life. Many young people today know about technology which is great, but fall far short of cooking a basic meal or managing a budget. In this day and age its all about convenience/fast foods, and using a card with impunity a wrong move IMO

Great video as always 😁 I think some people need to remember it’s your home! They aren’t telling you to all go out and cook on portable gas stoves, they are just saying it’s what they do and find it saves them money. If you don’t agree with something they do then don’t do it yourselves, do whatever works for you. Pick bits out of the videos but don’t just criticise. You’re both doing a grand job! 👍🏼

I've posted the link to this to a friend on Facebook as an example of what Sharon and Martin cook. I've just had my dinner, battered fish (and chips) cooked in the air fryer at 200 for about 5 minutes then turned over for another couple of minutes. Much better and quicker than fried. I've had my air fryer, just a basic one, for about 4 years and have started to use it much more thanks to these two. Martin's reaction when he tastes something for the first time is priceless.

I LOVE your videos! I love my air fryer and you really give me inspiration! I live in Australia but born in Luton. I still love my English fare. I use my air-fryer, my three slow cookers and my little gas burner for cooking. Being a hot climate, I really like how none of these heat up the kitchen. My sons mother in law is visiting from London and I showed her my air fryer. The first thing she is going to do when she gets home is to buy one!. Keep up the amazing videos! Honest. Lovely. The way I do it's a bit different - I put about a mug of water in a saucepan, bring to the boil. Add herbs and seasoning. While still boiling, drop in the chicken and the mushroom (cut REALLY small though), and turn down to a simmer. If there's still a bit too much water, I add a pinch of strong cheese to melt in (it gives a bit of kick - sounds horrible, but it ain't), then I usually use either a bit of flour to thicken or a sachet of instant soup. Then the rest as you've done. I gave up browning the meat off years ago... Thanks for sharing your cooking with us: pukka!
