This is why I think Chef JP is the best chef channel on YT. I was laughing out loud several times, especially at his comment on vegan burgers. I have watched his channel almost since the beginning, and this is the most entertaining video he has ever produced. I think he was so ecstatic with all the butter, he almost became unintelligible! My goodness Chef Jean Pierre, that burger was so good that I woke up this morning at 4am for work thinking about it. I have never in my 53 years on earth had that flavor combination in my mouth, it was like tasting really good food for the first time, I am not joking it was that good. My wife made a nice salad, and we had a couple of ripe avocados on the side, sliced up with salt and pepper that I mashed up and put on top of the onion, and because of the sautéed onion and garlic, it was almost like I had put guacamole on it. JUST WOW Chef JP, that was on some other level of flavor, and a recipe I will never forget. I thank you, my family thanks you, you are the man!!!

I took a page from Chef JP’s playbook and made mashed potatoes with just potato, a stick and a half of butter and only a small splash of milk. Best potatoes I’ve ever had in my life! I also made a beautiful onion gravy to go along with it, you can’t beat it! He’s the best teacher anyone could ask for!

Hey chef, you ever try the martin potato buns? I just can't go back to any other type of burger bun after having them. They just so soft and taste way better than any other bun's I've had. I like to crisp the middle of the bun like how you did and not toast the outside of it. Soft on outside, crispy on the middle. I really wish you'd give them a shot for a burger, or even hotdog if you eat them. I think it will take your burger up another notch.

This style is like a classic I grew up on here in Chicago. It's called a "big baby" (not sure where that name originated) and features cheese and grilled onions, but lacks the butter. Just be sure to wear short sleeves and a bib!

When I was a kid, my family might take a week to go through a stick of butter. My parents were from places where butter was not part of the historical cuisine. My mother watched cooking shows on TV to see how Westerners cooked and she was shocked by the liberal use of butter. But I think she would have agreed with you about being able to taste every single ingredient in the final dish, and that quality, fresh ingredients are essential. Anyway, watching your videos glorifying butter brings back fond memories of my mother making faces at the TV.
