Enjoyed your video. I don’t usually watch LIVE broadcasts but I enjoy them after the fact. And butterflies are my favorites. I am a newbie as I subscribed recently. I live in Senior apartments that I love. I’ve been here 8 yr. I have been a widow 12 yrs after being married to my best friend for 32. I have no family so it is just me. Rachel I loved your video (as always)! This card is STUNNING! I am a hobby demonstrator and I can't wait to "retire" from my current job as the director of a child care center. When I do I want to be just like you (and several other demonstrators I watch and admire)! One thing you did today I especially appreciated was sharing your lovely card at the beginning of your video. It is not to be critical of other demonstrators, but many of them shared all their wonderful goodies first then a project. Sending prayers for your son Luke's recovery. One thing to try for die-cutting is to place the die with the blade facing up on a flat cutting pad. Then your vellum (or cardstock) then the top plate. I try to only use one plate for my “cut plate”. I find this keeps the die totally flat and I seem to get more successful die-cuts this way. Even some of the most intricate dies will cut with one pass.

Yes...I've done that but haven't gotten better results on my Big Shot. But thank you for the thoughts. I should've remembered that I shimmed when I cut my other ones a month ago. Oh well...makes for a little entertainment. LOL And yes, I usually keep one cutting mat free from cuts, but over the years they get used by others (in classes and events) and pretty soon I don't have a clean one left.

Made one, love it!! Different butterfly, paper etc. didn’t have the punch for the hole on top so I used a skinny banner die, worked perfectly. Thanks again for the idea!

Rachel that is a beautiful card.. I have a tip for you...when cutting the butterfly I cut it with the cutting side up and the vellum or Cardstock on top. It cuts beautifully every time.

Maybe your lightbulb is just loose. I had that happen with a porch light. I went to change the bulb and found it loose. Once I tightened it, it stayed lit!

Good thought. But I just tightened it before recording because I always undo it to avoid the off and on flickering. Just reminded my husband just now to change it out. (Thanks for mentioning it in your comment.) He's the "keeper of the bulbs" in our house and insists on changing them himself.
