I tried Tenergy 19 on my backhand last night with Apolonia ZLC blade. I like it very much so far. Compared to 09c I strongly prefer the feeling of a softer and faster rubber especially after using the tacky 09c. The throw angle is low but it is very spinny so it's easy to aim up a little and adjust. Very solid rubber. I'm looking forward to using it in the club tomorrow! Love you Timo!

Now I ordered with a lot of effort an andro treiber CI off. I hope that my health is with me and that I continue to enjoy this sport since I suffer from heart failure and sometimes I get very exhausted, here in Chile being table tennis is very difficult, since the conditions are precarious, I hope to continue improving myself since in the long term I want being an instructor The good thing is that I can still last a couple of entire games when I'm doing well🙂. Hey Timo I noticed that you used a really forehand oriented grip at 0:55 with your index finger moved up high and the racket laying on your thumb but in 0:59 you used a backhand oriented grip. Do you do that in matches as well? If so, is there anything else to being fast enough then just a lot of training(I'm talking about something like a technique for fast grip switching). I personally like to switch grips for forehand and backhand as well and I think it's especially important for the backhand because otherwise it's lacking to much power. It happens oftentimes in rallies that I'm to slow switching grips, but I'm still not sure if it's just a matter of my grips being to extreme, to little training (although I'm already training 3 times per week, without the virus)or wrong technique. I know that you can't judge my technique from afar, that's why I'm interested on your opinion on my questions;)

I tried Rozena and found it played alot like Dignics 05. But, i found the Rozena to be a little softer and therefore a little too bouncy for my backhand and a little too slow for my forehand. Timo can you please review a slow tacky rubber such as "Butterfly Tackiness Chop" with 1-1.5mm sponge? Thanks.
@Aletheides01
@Aletheides01 3 жыл бұрын
I think that would be like asking a Formula 1 driver to test a new Fiat500 :D Joking aside, the Bty Tackiness Chop in that sponge thickness is a very defensive rubber. It is one of the slowest rubbers I know of, since it is a classic style, with no speedglue effect at all. It can produce a decent amount of spin, the rubber is very grippy, yet not at all tacky like many chinese rubbers. I would recommend this rubber on an all to all+ blade, if you want to play very defensively (maybe paired with long pimples out). I wouldn't recommend this rubber for anyone who wants to play offensively, since you will literally pull your arms out to generate enough speed on the ball, or you will have to use a very very VERY fast blade to compensate. For an allround style play, the Tackiness D (with a thick sponge) would be a better starting point...
@wellbeingsupport
@wellbeingsupport 3 жыл бұрын
@@Aletheides01 I like your reply and you are right. But it would be really interesting and helpful to see how Timo is attacking with such a rubber (defensive). Modern defenders can benefit from it. BTW it shouldn't be more different from D c9 only much slower and hopefully, Timo can make a huge spin from it.

@Skrippykrotangler
@Skrippykrotangler 3 жыл бұрын
I tried Rozena on a Butterfly Innerforce ALC.S blade and i still like Hurricane 3 Neo better for my forehand or even Dignics 09c. For backhand i like Dignics 05 better than Rozena or any of the other Tenergy's i've tried. Rozena is a decent rubber with decent grip and actually plays alot like Dignics 05. I just found it was a little too bouncy for my liking as i like a little harder rubber like Dignics 05 and Hurricane 3 to place the ball with more control and power.
@TheVEer95
@TheVEer95 3 жыл бұрын
Did you find problem with gluing it ? I used Rozena for around 2 years but I noticed that the sponge is too soft and it tears while removing it. I also really want to know what "forgiveness" means. Rozena's main characteristic is it's forgiveness as per reviews.
@Skrippykrotangler
@Skrippykrotangler 3 жыл бұрын
@@TheVEer95 forgiveness usually means that it is more insensitive to incoming spin than other rubbers. Rozena, maybe a little bit. Also, its not as fast as many rubbers making it more forgiving also. I haven't tried to remove it yet, and it was assembled at megaspin.
@Skrippykrotangler
@Skrippykrotangler 3 жыл бұрын
@@TheVEer95 Honestly i'd only use Dignics 05 on backhand, and Hurricane 3 or Dignics 05 or maybe Tenergy 05hard on forehand. Dignics 09c is too hard for my liking. Harimoto is supposedly using Dignics 05 on forehand and Tenergy 05 on backhand. These rubbers are deadly, because they are the best and really force you use proper footwork, in and out to the table. Footwork is what is keeping me from beating the two guys consistently i play at the club. I sometimes forget to move back from the table when it do a quick, long serve with less backspin. Things like that. The guys i play, they chop chop chop, thats all they do until i pick a ball to convert to topspin, when i do that i need to always remember to scamper back from the table again as they are forced to hit topspin back to me. I also try to remember not to overhit forehand loops to improve my consistency with hurricane 3 and keep the ball on the table.
@TheVEer95
@TheVEer95 3 жыл бұрын
@@Skrippykrotangler ok thanks. I have tried only two Butterfly rubber so far. When I was a beginner that time I used Flextra and now Rozena. I have changed many rubbers, Rozena suits my style the most. But only problem I found is sponge. May be there was some problem with the glue. I use MXP on forehand and Rozena on backhand on DHS Hurricane 301 blade. Quite ideal combination.

For me it sounds like I would probably prefer T19 on the backhand over T05 or D09C. The extra directness and flatter curve sounds like what I'd usually prefer on the backhand. Whereas I usually prefer something less direct on the forehand. Especially for serves. Even better if it's slightly to semi tacky. Now I haven't tried T19, so I don't actually know how it would work out for me 🤷‍♂️

Since you said a couple of videos back, we find difficult to get Butterfly Rubbers Except from Tenergy 05 and 64. That too in Metropolitan like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, who have variants of DHS and other Japanese Rubbers. None of Butterfly Rubbers come to India. Only DHS, Yasaka and Donic's Rubbers are available easily at a store. Every Indian TT player that you watch, will probably use Donic or some pimpled Rubber because they are easily available in the country except your Teammate at Borussia Dusseldorf. So, getting hands on them will be no more than a year. Even I have to order XIOM Omega VII Pro and Europe as my Rubber which is easily available.
