Rannerdale knotts is certainly a fantastic place dave might be a small un but it makes up in fantastic views,be better in winter when its quieter...i'd have done same thing though i prefer the higher summits.i need to bag whiteless pike yet & whiteside on the other side, done all the rest up here camping & hiking etc.wandope further along that ridge is a superb summit it's one ill camp on when i do whiteless pike i think..duomid is looking good i may be joining the club 😉 tfs mate.

Dave, I have to say, pumps to blow your mat up is definitely roughing it smoothly! I had a good camp on Wansfell pike last Wednesday night. Bright starlit early evening followed by high winds and rain with a very soggy rapid decamp in a gale early the next day 😳 Maybe you could contract some of us subscribers to be your Sherpas? Just a thought 🤣 Ps if you get a picture leak in your BeFree, I used a Park patch to seal it. They work. They’re meant to fix a bike puncture and are self adhesive, the size of a postage stamp.
