metaphors are a great start, especially for poetry!! once you’re good at metaphors it’s just a matter of time before you get good at weaving them into real information and making amazing poems, stories, and other writing. you got this! don’t stop writing!!

101amana Sorry for the late reply. My grandmother has resentment for my grandfather for cheating on her for the majority of their marriage. she did not get to heal from the cheating because she was raising their family. now that she is older and her mental state is different and she still hasn't healed from it, his actions still haunt her.
@kaleidojess10 жыл бұрын
Oh, yikes.. I hear that!
@nahidr1010 жыл бұрын
Did the grandmother actually catch the grandfather cheating on her? Couldn't she just be senile and the grandfather wrongly accused? Of course, I don't know either of the two but this poem just leaves me wondering.
@Broadwaychica10 жыл бұрын
I think the point is that YEARS ago he cheated on her and this is how she's handling it now.
@nahidr1010 жыл бұрын
I was just saying that we don't know if he cheated, it seems as though the grandmother "knew" he cheated without actually her seeing it or her admitting it. Then again I don't know the whole story so maybe she actually did catch him or he told her.
@chaneldupree23549 жыл бұрын
Hey. I'm chanel dupree. To answer your question, my grandmother did catch my grandfather cheating. She could not leave because this was in the 50's and there was no where for her to go and she had five children to raise
@nahidr109 жыл бұрын
That is the thing I thought should have been made more clear in the poem. I actually liked the poem but that little fact makes a world of difference since we can't just assume that he cheated just because the grandmother thought he had by smelling foreign sweat.

Chanel Dupree I feel it was made clear :) such a beautiful poem
