Good video. I also use a set of two cherries and absolutely love them. Mine are a bit different then yours. The guy I apprenticed under gave them to me and told me that they are older. Mine have the octagonal handles no metal other then the shank. The stickers on mine just has the cherries logo with no wording and they don’t have any numbers anywhere on them at all. Have you ever seen any like the ones I have?

There are very old ones that are still being used by craftsmen. Ive seen more with a replacement handle than anything.

Abston Wood Crafts thanks for getting back to me. I have some other old chisels and I’m blown away at how old some can be. It’s amazing to think that someone was doing the same thing with the exact same too a hundred years ago.

I have Kirschen carving chisel, buy them new. Spend your money you wont look back. eBay used Kirschen chisels see how many hits you get. People buy them they don't sell them. cheers from Tasmania.
