i agree with the other commenters that i would have personally loved the lamp in its more raw/ industrial state, BUT painting it green really made it look like a cactus with the lil arms and it looks super friendly in the space. go dani!!

Alexandra and Dani I love your videos!!! I have to go with the DIY for sure. Dani nailed this one! Great job! Sometimes you need to think outside the box of what is traditional. (If she left the pipes the original copper color it would not have matched the decor in this case as well.) ***This is a unique custom piece.*** The lime green actually helped it to blend in better with the DIYer's unique style space and existing DIY's while creating a conversation piece. I love that chartreuse color of the DIY! Keeping it copper would have also been nice, but it's a little basic. The new color is so fun and unique and brings a lot of personality to the space!

Alexandra picked an excellent choice for the space and see her point about grounding and more quietly accentuating the already busy space...but I would've been bummed if client said no to such a custom, quirky, conversation piece by fellow DIYer. It was fun seeing what Dani's mind dreamt up with this and I like its whimsy, lively color, pretty bulbs. Seems good for the eclectic, boho, creative client. Inspired by this piece, Dani! Not sure why comments saying keep it copper. Off-beat green for off-beat space. As always can hardly tell client's style and needs though on so little info, but I get them wanting the episodes short so not time to go too into that.

At first I really hated the DIY, but once I saw it in the space it really does fit the space with that bright lime green. Girl, I think the teal might have Blended better into the space, the lime green works really well with the plants.

I loved the diy again. The buy was nice for a larger space, simply because it would have needed to be left mostly upright a lot of the time. The diy suited the pops of lime she had in her apartment and actually balanced it out, despite everyone’s cries for it to be left in raw copper (which was beautiful). I didn’t love the marbled base on camera though...all lime or all white seemed like a cleaner look. And I really liked the geometric shapes being mirrored on the base and shades.

I wonder how easy it is to switch the type of pipe in the DIY lamp. Could it just as easily be galvanized pipe or pvc? I would like the copper better if it had a classic copper patina instead. I also wondered if it would be possible to have the cord attach to the lamp in a different spot, maybe lower down on the base. I don’t understand why Danie keeps spray painting copper. Why not use less expensive pipes if the pipes will be spray painted?

Aaaaahhh! Just watched the vid, I am so enlightened now and found some great ideas for my own home. Thanks girls! I loved the turquoise floor lamp and thought it fit better in the space but I do have to say that I can't say no to team diy, so original and bold colored !! Loved it! How did you do the round marble part though, am very curious! Maybe I missed it in the video? Apologies beforehand if I did Dany! Also big thanks to Alexandra for the branch and ladder idea, my lightbulb just went up for a diy ceiling lamp, I have a branch that would fit perfectly !

DYI big time, this is so nice! Not a huge fan of the marble green at the bottom, it looks like she started to spray and did not have enough paint. Maybe it is because we only saw a shot from far, would have been nice to see it closer :)
