I went to the Twolves Celtics game last night. Im a Celtics fan, and it was the first time I ever went and watched the Celtics play in person. Obviously not the result I wanted lol, but the game itself was very good. The two things I took away from the Twolves was A) Jaden McDaniels is rn the best perimeter defender in the league B) Anthony Edwards is just cold. The mf would not miss for stretches of that game. Reffing in the game was annoying for both sides though. Last 4 minutes of the 3rd lasted for an eternity, and they just kept using that whistle and stopping the game sooooo damn much. Like both teams have good defenses, and they wouldn’t let them play.

I agree with the "being a great player don't automatically make you a system" sentiment, but I 100% think MVP Russ was his own system because of how ball dominant his play style was. Its why people always say you have to "build the perfect team around him" or why he never fits into those all time draft rosters (on paper). Yeah that’s why I honestly hate this system talk, the pacers system is pace and space and shoot you outta the gym, They have knockdown shooters like Brown and Nesmith and one of the best paced guards who’s a top 5 playmaker to run it, Current De’aaron fox does that exact same system but I doubt people are calling him “The System” or 17 Russ. Shai who hasn’t had any type of spacing and is just pace gets labeled not a system because he’s forced to play ISO ball which just makes no sense to me personally but idk
