G9 49" qd-oled or S95C 55 " tv? i mostly play cooperative and singleplayer games and occasionally i emulate games, but i do usually play battlefiled, cod, csgo and PvE tactical shooters with my friends. I have also been gaming on VR since 2019, i have never experienced motion sickness, so super-ultrawide most likely wont make me motion sick. Thanks in advance brother.

@@wolveslands6701 for non-comoetitive single/multiplayer gaming the 55" is better (much bigger display, very immersive) While for competitive the 49" ultra wide is better. Also for desktop usage and productivity I much prefer the 55" tv but it's personal preference, and you need to find a way to stand the tv away from you (I have mine on a TV stand with wheels after the table and move the TV around the house sometimes, I can do this because my table isn't near the wall). Also worth to consider that the tv is much cheaper while giving your a bigger usable area. While the 55" is cramped height wise. All the best

Hi there! I've been enjoying your fantastic reviews on various displays. Thanks for all the valuable insights! 😋However, I'm still struggling to decide between the G93SC (non-smart TV) and the G95SC (smart TV with reportedly laggy Tizen OS). The G93SC is essentially the non-smart version of the G9 OLED, but it also boasts Picture-in-Picture mode alongside Picture-by-Picture mode. Conversely, the G95SC, with its smart TV capabilities, only offers Picture-by-Picture mode. I'm particularly drawn to the idea of being able to set custom window sizes with PIP on the G93SC, especially for creating a 21:9 window for games where there's significant stretching at the edges in 32:9 (as you often pointed out in your videos). It seems like this feature is exclusive to the slightly cheaper G93SC model compared to the G95SC. Is that accurate? Wouldn't owning the smart version be a downgrade in this case? Or am I wrong? I'm curious if it's possible to create a 21:9 window using PIP with the G93SC. If so, does it affect frame rate or disable HDR in any way? Can you utilize this feature with full 240Hz and HDR? Additionally, are there any important smart TV features that I might be overlooking? Both TVs are similarly priced in my country (with a $50 price difference). Given this, which one would you recommend? Looking forward to your insights! 😊 And thanks for reading this wall of text! 😅

The G93SC is better value. The G95SC can allegedly have the brightness doubled via a service menu hack. (Officially I don’t recommend service mods).

@@thedisplayguy Thanks for the super quick answer; it’s appreciated ☺️. I‘m going to join your Patreon for the perfect settings and to say thank you. I don’t mind purchasing the more expensive version, but if the above is true, I will follow your advice and buy the G93SC instead.

From my experience, Amd 7900xt works very well with this resolution. Just mind that whatever gpu you have, a monitors vrr matters, G-Sync is ONLY Nvidia tech and can only be used by Nvidia gpus, Freesync and freesync premium is whatever vrr gpu card, it supports all Variable refresh rates. Meaning both Nvidia/amd & intel gpus. So only buy a gSync monitor if you are planning for a Nvidia gpu, the gsync tech costs the monitor makers about a 100 $ premium. That is why freesync is in more TVs and monitors, it has no premium cost for its implementation. Many people on Nvidia claim it better than freesync. Im not sure either is better, for me its hard to spot a difference at such premium tech costs, its all S-Tier in this price bracket. Monitors this teched up with oleds and Hz blazing fast. These screens cost more than most people spend on an entire pc setup, screen and pc. Its not being marketed for an average customer.

lol welcome to monitors, they’re much larger than laptops. It’s 1440 so it’s the exact same as a 1440 27”. You’ll never get anywhere near 220 on a monitor. Best you’ll get is 163 on a 27” in 4k. All of this is mitigated by viewing distance tho. Btw your problem isn’t the resolution, it’s the pixel layout on QD-OLED. They’re not good for text.
@LRM12o84 ай бұрын
Wtf you need higher ppi for, lmao! How close do you sit to your 27" x2 monitor? Cause the farther away you sit, the less ppi matters. 1440p is the best resolution for PC right now, anything higher only wastes performance and causes skaling issues on basically all OSes
