Having owned the Fk8 and now the new Fl5 type R, my man is right ...there is nothing like a honda, I can't seem to part ways with the brand...they have racing heritage and are reliable cars with the best manual gearbox on the market, and honda sticking to it thankfully! Honda for life❤

320d is a badass bullet proof vehicle that will give you lots of kms and very reasonable resources on maintenance, the BMW Diesels are the best!! That GC Lukhele dude is a gem!!!

Certainly cant predict how long a car will last but my 2003 fiat palio has 347000km and no issues in the 19 years i had it. My other cars have had their fair share of problems and some high maintenance items😅😅. Newer cars arent made like the old ones like my audi a5 with oil consumption issues and my ford ecoboost with failed gearbox. Its always good to have an old daily driver that wont break and requires very little maintenance.

They will go 1 or 2 year old cars at most in my experience but maybe their policy has changed?

Toyota only had minor repairs done like gaskets etc, it still has plenty life in that engine.

The first question, those people want to buy a bomb, especially the Evoque, we cant let out predicjuices get in the way of major financial decisions. Second question, yes you dont buy cars for personal use to make money, you go in with that mindset you will buy something you hate and when you come to sell it, you will still incurr the wrath of depreciation. Still though, buy the Baleno, better insurance. The fourth question, I would go with the Mitsibishi, its more reliable than the Chevy, cheaper to maintain and has a better dealer foorprint. For the last question, I agree buy a new car, probably for the same budget you would use to get that new engine, maybe a Suzuki Ciaz.

A lease guarantees a monthly payment for life, with ownership that payment stops after time and gets replaced with maintenance 🙃 catch 22 really, the correct advice is buy the Toyota brand new, pay it off sooner and enjoy your money on life.
