Hey y’all, I started making this video earlier this month before the COVID-19 situation got out of hand. During mid-production, the quarantine started to affect businesses and obviously people’s livelihood. This video may seem like it came out at the wrong time but again, I started filming before all of this happened. My intention from the beginning was to make a fun video on bogus camera accessories so I still wanted to finish it incase it can help put a smile on someone’s face during this tough time. If you don’t want to watch this video, I completely understand. Next week, I will have a photography video out! Stay tuned!

Not gonna lie. I totally want that mirror thing for my A6300! I do take vlogs of myself sometimes and I usually have to remotely control my camera with my phone to make sure I'm in frame first, which is a pain of a process. At least with this its a super quick process and I had even thought to rig up some home-made type of mirror like this! haha! BTW, just looking at that link you provided, I happen to notice there is an exact same looking product but under a different brand name for a few bucks less. a "Yifant" brand for only $13.99. Save ya six bucks!!

That's crazy these days you have to put a whole disclaimer out there in the beginning....btw you always get me to buy something 💸

I don’t think you need to defend yourself in the beginning Jason. We all have to keep doing whatever it is that we do while abiding by the recommendations and advice provided by the authorities. There’s people on the internet that will attack you no matter what you do because that’s just the way they are

I have the same rain cover, I dont use it often, but its does come in handy when u need it. Mirror look useful, wished they made it so it folds up. Looks too bulky to carry it around with all ur gear. This kind of reviews of "jank" products is pretty handy as few of the actually have visual user experience. Really helpful and entertaining video concept theme.

Neglecting that battery charger just for USB cable type is hurting. That product was really promising, although knock off, but came with 2 batteries, i never expected it. So a POWERBANK for external batteries is really awesome. I think you should check this product and see if it’s worth taking along on professional shoot and if it charges fast or slow to the original batteries

that USB Micro-B super speed type port is also is compatible with a regular micro USB cable ( the regular Android charging cable before they came out with type c) so you didn't exactly have to have that particular cable to in order to charge.. I used to have a cell phone with that same charging port..

It’s obviously not going to be as good as the rain cover, but I always just wrapped a good amount of plastic food wrap over my A6400 and used an umbrella if needed. It’s a small enough camera to mostly be able to operate one-handed.

That USB is an older, early USB 3.0 connector, presumably for faster data transfer speeds. If you were using it just as a charger, you could use it with just a micro USB connector like some older android phones or some of the portable travel chargers that are already on the market use.

This is great content! Also, for the battery charger + card reader thingy, you can actually use a USB 2.0 micro-B (the type of port that comes with old Android phones) to charge and transfer data. The rate would be limited by USB 2.0 standard but at least you can still charge it without bringing yet another cable. But yea, USB type-C would be even better.
