We bought a V12 Mercedes Benz s600 for only $3000 sight unseen! This car has a 500hp twin turbocharged v12 engine and was $144,000 originally back in 2003. There is a reason we got it dirt cheap, it's kind of broken... It doesn't run and needs a little work, but with the help of Alex from Legit Street Cars, we got it running again. This v12 Mercedes was even cheaper than Hoovies Garage's s600! Let's rebuild this car, and get it driving again after 5 months of sitting.

You can see the part number for the coil packs near the back of the engine. Look up that part number and you can tell it’s the revised part

My 01 S500 had the same power steering issue, replaced the pump and was good as new.

I’ve done a custom coilover conversion on my CL600 (twin turbo also) and basically you have to swap in a power steering pump from an ML500 to fit the M275 engine. Unless the owner properly plugged in all the lines. (Which will leak horribly, and is a ticking time bomb regardless) the OEM tandem pump (power steering pump) will dry out and burn itself out and will fail. The ML500 pump is like $60 bucks on eBay. I’ve been running mine for about a year with no issues. Best of luck guys! You got an insane deal 🎉

It’s the designo Graphite Edition. Somewhat rare to find out of the three designo editions. Graphite Grey on Graphite Green leather with Brown Poplar wood. Really nice car. (designo Silver Edition owner here) unfortunate about the coil over conversion.

on ABC and power steering problem need to change both filters and buy mercedes hydraulic fuid and make a flush of it. need the electric diagnose mercedes machine (XENTRY) to make the "rodeo" and refill if needed and will be okay. Check ABC pump connection wires, sometimes break (under driverside airduct)

I love those cars. I have a 91 560SEL Gold Edition and the timing chain has jumped. I was considering putting a V12 in it. What's your take on that. Maybe you and your friend would know. Before you say it won't fit, I put a 327 in VW Beatle. Love the vid and as always you guys got an awesome buy.

Hoovie did just the same mistake on a Mercedes, the powersteering pump fails if one tries to do 11's or doughnuts, needs new powersteering pump. Works kind ish when engine revs over idle.

Mercedes w220 with abc suspension, it has one two-section pump for suspension and power steering. the power section is probably damaged.

I bet the power steering is dying because they left the tandem pump instead of a power steering pump, and the suspension side isn't looped (it is running dry). It is probably all torn up inside. As for the no boost and abc/bas codes, maybe there is some programming still required for the abc suspension delete? hopefully just that and an easy fix.
