I'm running a 2600 (used), MSI B450 (open box) and a RX 6600 (new on sale). It does what I need for the games I play, eg Cyberpunk 2077. I don't play online games and I enjoy my 1080p gaming experience.

I’ve tried some experiments with this CPU and thought to fix the stuttering by down-clocking the stock speed to 3.20Ghz to 3.10Ghz and undervolting Dynamic Vcore(DVID) to -150. Surprisingly it worked! (well for me tho) I hope this information helps with people who have any stuttering with this CPU. my specs: motherboard with the latest bios settings GA-A320M-S2H. Gigabyte Geforce RTX 4070 GPU. 3600mhz 32 gigs of RAM (the max speed I can go is 3200mhz with XMP disabled)

If you use a 60 - 75hz monitor, this processor is sufficient as it only pushes current games up to this frequency.
@crocogaming062123 күн бұрын
Higher refresh rate is mainly gpu bound not in cpu

Are you washing it with water straight from the water pipe? If so, it has plenty of added chemicals that will corrode your MB, even if you wash it with isopropanol...

I really dont want to spend too much money on gaming. Im on a r5 3600 right now. I am eyeing on the r5 5700x which is on sale 105$ brand new. Should I go for it?
@ERRR-bp9goАй бұрын
I would go for a Ryzen 5 5600. The additional 2 core that you get with the 5700x won't make for a big improvement if your only gaming. There's also the option to get a 5700x3D if your motherboard supports this cpu, keep in mind that it needs a bit more power compared too your current one

Hi, not related to your video, I just like to ask is it okay to pigtail 4080 super specifically the gigabyte windforce 750watts requirement? I only have 2 pcie cable in my psu.
@ImWateringPSUs2 ай бұрын
If you’re using two distinct pcie cables and are then using pigtail to fill the third input in the adapter, yes. If you’re using a single 8Pin pcie cable for the 4080S, well if you undervolt it you should be able to get away with it but it’s not recommended

this CPU is not the first generation, this is 1600AF not AE, that is, the renamed 2600. and 3800MHz for 1600af is "safe and low" speed without increase in voltage, with luck he will take up to 4.2
@ImWateringPSUs2 ай бұрын
Mine is the AE! I also refer to the AF in the video though :) AF is much better binned clock and voltage wise as you say, unfortunately though the .1% lows issue remains😔
@jermygodАй бұрын
@@ImWateringPSUs but all footage shows AF and even when you measure performance in GPU-Z it says Pinnacle Ridge architecture, which is the 2nd generation. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@frankwong94862 ай бұрын
There was 8 cores version (looks they put incorrect binning or incorrect IHS) of 1600 and also the refreshed 1600AF If you lucky enough see if you can have a 8 cores version
@ImWateringPSUs2 ай бұрын
Very true! It would be great value to buy it for 10-20$ and find out it’s an 8-core :) However, even then, it would just be a worse binned R7 1700, definitely worth it for productivity but not so much for gaming!

If you are playing anything like CS2 or something stay away from ryzen 1000 , 2000 and 3000 series they're all bad for that particular competitive experience. Stutter out of nowhere but 5000 series do not have that so 5000 series is very good no problem.

im using a ryzen 5 3500 w 1050ti and on low settings with dynamic shadows set to all at 1600x900 im still getting above 160 it even hits 200fps in 5v5. It's not that bad. But im also running a 100Hz monitor instead of 165hz or 144
@wasp64052 ай бұрын
@@jorgo00 Bro you get 160 to 200 fps in cs2 ? You don't play with fsr right ? if so 1050 ti is a god tier card bro very nice. You wouldn't feel the difference that much it happens to me sometimes in csgo I don't have experience of cs2 with those processors. I used to play csgo with above 250 fps on my 165hz monitor and sometimes it would drop to 160, 140 and i sometimes experienced microstutter and maybe bios updates fixed those issues. I get random fps drop on Ancient map on cs2 but I blame that on game and not on processor or gpu like drop from 200 to 60 for no reason in T- spawn waters just after buying and when round start and I start moving. I don't even play the game that much anymore.
