Driving this car for 2 Years now and am super happy with it. I really dont like Tesla when it comes to exterior or interior/Interaction Design. I think the Polestar is one sexy car and the built quality is great. Had no issues so far,... in the end its a question of personal taste :)

The problem buying a car from a rental fleet is that very often they are selling higher mileage, base model cars. A lot of the features you say are missing are in the "packages" sold for an extra charge to private original buyers. A rental company is going to buy base models in bulk at fleet rates.

I rented one from Hertz in France Nantes, battery was at 100% I took it back with 85% and they charged it fully back to 100% even the car says don't charge over 90% if hertz are doing this 2 times a week I'd worry about battery longevity versus a private or company car. Probs avoid!

I rented a Polestar 2 Performance from Hertz last year.

I bought an unused used ex Sixth BMW iX 40, I say unused because it only had 57km on the clock when I bought it. My local BMW dealer had 2, the one I bought with 57km and another with 500km, both 18 months old and essentially brand new. So from my experience buying a used EV was a no brainer.

Fit and finish of a polestar is certainly far better than a model 3, especially on the interior

Calling any Tesla "the best car in the world" is wild. You're clearly not looking at build quality at all

It is subjective. Many people have different preferences.

Answer is hell no. I drove one this weekend as a rental from Hertz. No active cruise control in a car from 2023? As in set a speed and it just goes that speed, if it is down hill it will go over that speed. If there is a car in front of you it won't even recognise to slow down. No lane keep assist, lane depart warning doesn't work 99% of the time. Even my 2016 Subaru Forester at least warns you every time you start to drift out of the lane. Instead of cruise control, there is also a mode that is speed limiter. You can accelerate to a certain speed e.g. 80km/hr but no matter how hard you stop on the pedal you can no go over that speed which is dangerous for multiple reasons. If you press the heated seat icon for the driver's side, it blurs the entire screen preventing you from seeing navigation but doesn't do it with the passenger side icon?? Climate control is wack, set at a certain temperature and fan speed on full manual mode. If you turn up or down the temperature the fan speed will change physically but on the screen it will say its the same fan speed as you originally selected. There are dozens of other stupid quirks that I can't remember This car is just a terrible Chinese car with the Polestar logo stuck on top.

You have no clue what you talking about.I do own polestar2 performance.Many of the Hertz cars dont have pilot & plus packs.You drove one with just standard cruise control.Pilot pack includes adaptive cruise control.Accorfing the heater...it does make 7000watt.Its plenty good enough here in the cold Norway.You drove it in ECO climate,,it stingy on the hest to save battery then.

"will get you where you need to go on range and charging speed"? That's a joke. There is ZERO reason to buy and EV. Even if you are a "greenie". In the aggregate, they cost more and pollute more. This was tried in the early 1900s and failed then as well.

So much fake information, where do you get your car news from, fossil fuel companies?
@iiAssassinXxii6 ай бұрын
What about if you get free charging at work? That’s a pretty good reason to have one. Cheaper overnight electric rates also cut down heavily on your ‘fuel’ bill.

And as we all know technology has not advanced at all since the early 1900s
