Great Video. I’m thinking of getting a used 2022 model-I want that heat pump. It would just for me to got to work & occasionally trip across state. This body style is a fast back which means it’s really a hatch back (like a Model S)

Not sure this will help, but In my XC40, which I LOVE, for the steering assist, I find that when a lane ahead is splitting, and i want to stay left, if i tap my indicator to signal left, the car will stay on that correct path. Tapping the indicator when changing lanes, or when the lane splits for on or off ramps makes it much more intuitive.

You should not be surprised to have a gravel stone between the protective plate and disc when powersliding through gravel ….

@@tangolima4148 I wasn't surprised, I just mentioned it as it was one of the only issues the car has presented to me.

What I find intersting, are the preferences. I am from Europe so I dont care about cupholders for example, but I understand why it is imporatnt in North America. Another point is the AC. We dont have such high temperatures, unlike Texas. What I am curious about is, what would you think about an older car without basically any feature. I mean almost no features, with a manual. But I still find this video intersting, in the sense of providing an insight of a diferent usecase (USA TEXAS).

Older cars are also really neat in their own ways. Reliability and repairability is much better, as they are much more simple than modern cars, and I find some of the engineering decisions using older technology interesting. (EX: Chevrolet Suburban Quadrasteer) I also like and know how to drive a manual, and was actually considering one instead of my Polestar. I'm aware that those two options are very dissimilar, but I wanted something different compared to most american vehicles (which are equipped with an automatic transmission). A Civic Si for example was one vehicle I was considering. To properly answer the question, I respect older vehicles for their simplicity and robustness, and appreciate people who keep them on the road, which ultimately helps the environment way more than electric cars.

Thanks for the video, I like your lists. One thing I'm curious about is the service experience you've had with this car. For example, early in the video you mention that the alignment is off. Can you take this to any alignment shop to fix? What about any warranty work that needs to be done? Where is the closest Polestar service center and have you been there yet? If so, what was your experience like? Thanks!

How did you check your battery health? I've owned my PS2 for 3 years (which I bought new) next month. I think they are one of the best value used BEV buys.

@vansucksateverything you could get orbit. I have it, it is worth it for other uses, but I don't think the VIDA battery health calculation is meaningful, it seems it just takes 30% degradation and divides by 10 years and subtracts that (multiplied by the number of the years old the car is) from 100 (the period they are on the hook for under federal regulations). The only way to properly check is to charge to 100% and drive to empty.
