Andrew, been watching your stuff for a while now and I have to say you have deeply nailed the industrious everyman handyman backyard mechanic tool guy's wet dream. A knack for fixing mechanical things, a tireless collection of varied jobs of significant interest to your audience, you or your video editor know just what instrumental to play, just when to speed up the video, and just when to let it play out to the gratification of the "oddly satisfying" following. i like your hometown USA accent, your willingness to let the common errors play out with their solutions, and I like how often you get your dump truck stuck. If I were a more prudent man, I might comment on your questionable attention to safety when working alone with your equipment, but my practical side certainly understands, and in some cases snorts affirmatively at some of your riskier actions. Your drone perspectives are the best use of that technology on existing construction work and I sincerely applaud your efforts. Please consider me an honest fan of your material.

A performance reason to keep all your power DC wires as short as possible is to minimize the voltage loss so you have a better power to the winch. The longer a DC wire is the more voltage it loses compared to an AC wire. Great in depth video about how you think about machines and having fun...
@neorecormon17696 жыл бұрын
this made no sense at all lol
@harlanbruce12936 жыл бұрын
Ohm's Law works equally for AC and DC - the best way to improve line losses is increasing the voltage (all else being equal). That's why power distribution is done at very high voltages. At 12 V, short, large conductors are the only solution for line losses. Power transmitted is V**2/R, so increasing the voltage really improves things.

Andrew, I'm 80 years old and you are me 50 years ago, except you have much more to show for yourself and much more equipment than I had. Only difference is that I was spread a little thinner, with a few added hobbies: Ham Radio, Electronics Tech, Steam Engines/antique machinery (I was engineer on a Steam excursion railroad for a few years, Musician/Songwriter (still do that), hobby radio DJ for 10 years, Cable TV construction contractor/operator, and most recently a Wireless Internet Service Provider, which will be my last hurrah. Still in good health but getting tired, after being a Jack of All Trades and Master of None all my life. Still have a messy home shop with lathes, drill presses, shapers, milling machine, welders, plasma cutter (my latest addition--LOVE it). I also LOVE your videos, watch them too much, I'm afraid, but your talent, resourcefulness and determination are truly remarkable, and your coverage of what you do is addicting. You must have a great dad who taught you a lot of things. As I watch your episodes, I'm continually looking forward to the next step in whatever project you're doing, wondering if you'll do it the way I would, and you are about 95% so far. If I may, I have two suggestions to offer: 1) When pouring out of an oil (or any liquid) bucket, rotate it 180 degrees so the spout is at the top, and the Glug-Glug will go away, it will be able to breathe and the flow is totally controllable, not to mention the bucket is closer to its target and not up in the air, and 2) Learn how to spray paint (like watch an experienced painter). Never wave the spray back and forth; always start and stop the spray as the nozzle is in motion, in other words, start your sweep before you start the spray and end the spray while you're still in motion. Otherwise, you will get a pile of paint at each end of your sweeps, which gives you a totally uneven coat. Other than those two things, you are PERFECT (the definition of perfect to me is: "suited to the purpose," which I learned from a friend. Oh, and you really need a cutoff saw, either reciprocating or band type--you are wearing me out with all those cutoff wheels... Ha. Keep up the videos, stay safe, and God bless you.

Those coil-overs you installed at 1:05 look like they are adjustable for height. Did you try to raise them? Loosen the bottom nut, crank up/down the upper nut, lock in place again with the lower nut.

My first thought.....adjusting the preload atv 101
@0xsergy5 жыл бұрын
@@jamesroyce2646 Yeah he should remove that front lift kit and just adjust it higher. The back end lift looks to be fine though, way less strain.

Andrew, i owned two of these Rhino's. One was a 450, the latest in 2008 was a 700. Great machines, a little slower than most. Keep your radiator flushed out after each trip. Great vid as usual.:)

You’ll be surprised how handy those side by sides are. I have a 14 Polaris Ranger 570 and I use it around my 10 acres daily. Easy to work on too.

You don't have to open the bleeder valve to push the caliper back in....when you push the caliper back in it will push the brake fluid back into the reservoir....keeps you from getting air in the line and having to bleed the system
@lipripper34106 жыл бұрын
I believe they teach that stuff in school and at some places but there’s no need.

hes just a kid that wouldnt know not to open the bleeder valve to push the caliper back in....when you push the caliper back in it will push the brake fluid back into the reservoir... but thinks he knows it all

jay smith not at all unless fluid is leaking past the pistons nothing gets contaminated at all, if its leaking past you change out the caliper, look it up before making such a statement that makes you look bad
