This is from my side of the screen of course, but my heart sank when you said you're seriously considering getting another horse (more work! and possible heartbreak for you). Then I watched all the contenders, and wanted to win the lottery so you could buy them all. "I'll take 'em all, thanks". So my heart breaks to see so many who need someone like you. What we need is to clone YOU so that more can be rescued. Honestly, teaching other people the right way to relate to a horse with issues, or a wild mustang, is exactly what is needed, so that more can be rescued and treated with love and respect and proper care. I know you have found your niche, but seriously, there is a great need for your innate kindness, management techniques and horse wisdom to be broadcast more. You could get a small heat lamp for Tiny. You can get them in a pet store- all small sizes for reptiles. You could make a 3/4 box with the bottom open to the hay and put a lamp in the top.
@shirleyrice5779Ай бұрын
Actually, deep in the hay would be just as good. It is very insulating. I built an 8 room motel for my feral cats. Each room was insulated, had a pad in it, and a small heat lamp, or a dark blue 60W bulb - depending on how cold out it was. A thick flap of plastic covered the door. It was successful. It was 40“ off the floor on a welded frame that I designed so (I thought) animals could not climb. But, the raccoons were smarter than I was. They climbed up the supports under the house and managed to reach around under the overhang and get on the motel to eat the food and poop in the rooms. I also had a nice shed built. It had windows, a double front door and a loft for 1/3 of the space. I had two doors cut for the cats. One was just under the roof and the cats climbed a pole to get on a platform to the door. Inside the door there was a chicken ladder to the loft where there were beds. The other door was high off the shed floor with a barrel upended under it. The cats could go out onto a platform with a roof. They would jump down to the ground. This was all to thwart animals. Hah! The raccoons came in and used the loft as their personal toilet. It was covered with poop. I had to screw covers over both doors. The squirrels ate the outside platforms. The mice were rampant as well.

This was so helpful to have you do brief visual evaluations on some of the BLM mustangs. So good for learning. Thank you!

The curly coated mustang in auction could also possibly have cushings but who knows maybe it’s a breed thing.

The curlies are genetic, not very common for such a young horse to have ppid

Ohhhhnow I'm so excited. For years growing up I was in awe of that very word, mustang. It epitomises America, for me. Can't wait to see the outcome of your decision CC. Love your work❤ I can now hold a coversation with work coleagues (the horse owners) about their horses, because of what I've learnt from you. And I understand that 'horse bond' you mentioned many videos ago about your journey. It's true, it does exist

I love your commentary. Good Luck---but oh, the SUSPENSE! I enjoyed your little flashback clip of you on the mustang you trained in the past.

I stay away from the internet auctions. Haha I applied one time and they approved me for 4 “because my facilities would hold that many”. 😮😂 I currently own 3 blm mustangs. I’ve had 5 total through the years. The three I have are the last due to my age. I looked forward to following your journey and hope you get the one you’ve bid on.

If I were approved for 4 that would give me a lot more options for bidding 🧐

@@TheCleverCowgirl hahaha ya but the pressure of being enabled was alot! I just stuck with the one that time.

OK, for certain, you are focused on another mare. Wait, a gelding? Best of luck with your bids! Thank you, CC!
