Which farming you like most 1. Free range ( where we release animals in field for organic growth and less feeding from us ) 2. Cage farming ( where we keep animals in cage and give food by us for growth ) 3. Battery farming ( it is also a type of cage where we and give all things automatically and is cleaner and systematic farming method ) -- from my opinion free range is best because we can use dung and produce insects which is food for birds and in this birds can be produced without any extra food and they also feel good in this process because it is natural method and get products organic.👍👍

Your farming videos bring back memories. When I was a child in England my Grandfather had a chicken farm and My Grandmother raised rabbits for the table. I often helped with doing the necessary to get both ready to cook, skinning, gutting, de feathering etc. Do you have someone to butcher your produce or are you going to do it yourself? You will have to have a sepearte building with a refridgerator to do that on the scale you intend. How do will you market the rabbit meat if your country people don't eat it yet? Good luck with it all, it's great to see you succeding :)
@DextersWorld4 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Lynda. That's a good point you raised that is why I am quite challenged to introduce rabbit meat to the rest of my countrymen. I am positive though they would eventually come to learn to consume this kind of meat as there have been already a number who have found such as acceptable and even as good as chicken meat.

Please understand I belong to the American rabbit breeders association for over 20 years. I sold rabbits all over the world because of the quality of my stock. And for the man who had the rabbit in the wooden cages if he adds another square foot to those cages to the breed cages it would be better, because a rabbit will only breed per space for the litter. In one side note if the cage isn't big enough she will eat her young or not she will not want to breed. My doe cages were 3ft long by 18in deep. My average litter size was 6 to 14 depending on the size doe & breed. I raised Lions heads, lops, French lops, miniature lops, I raised miniature Rex, I raised Holland lops, Netherland dwarfs, Flemish giants, Fuzzy lops, hot tots & 12 other breeds. If you are gut breeding for meat none of the breeds matter much. But the health of the breeding does & the young should. If you take the time to feed & breed them right the fur will turn out better & you will be able to sell the fur. If you have any questions about what i am saying message me & I will send you a few pictures of my animal.

one of the cleanest meats as it hardly has any fat to the meat, and the droppings are a good fertiliser, you can't use cow or horse manure straight away on the garden need a few months to rot first, but rabbit manure is perfect to go straight onto the garden no waiting months, that a second product from them well third as they are used for pets, meat and the manure.

Greeting from India, How will he clean the cages if they are kept in ground? Will that cause any cleanliness issue or diseases from the ground feces of their own
@madelinepark79444 жыл бұрын
I keep my rabbits on the ground and use the 'deep litter method' removing the bedding twice a year. The deep litter method is useful to keep smell down, absorb urine, and you can compost it for your garden when you clean it out.

Hi Dexter, I just want to say thank you for your contributions in sharing with others. Although for some people living in different cultures the standards or expectations are different when it comes to raising livestock etc, you always seem to try to do what’s best with what you have. I noticed someone in one of your previous rabbit videos mentioned adding wood to chew into the pens for the rabbits teeth, and promptly you can see that you’ve provided this after the feedback. It’s a great thing to be so open to sharing information to others, but also in receiving it too and acting off it, really hats off to you! Thanks for being you 😊👍🏻
