The hp line has been my favorite workhorse since i started. I have a b + but mostly use my hp-c and hp-c+. I still use my hp-c I got in 83 on a daily basis. There is good reason why that line has been around for so long. Great content and review as always!

Thanks Duane. wow that airbrush will be 40 years old next year. It's still holding up?! It must be like hanging out with an old friend every time you use it. Thanks for sharing this.

@@theartworkshop Yup still holding up. The only original part anymore is the body, its missing quite a bit of chrome (not a bit of it in the bowl or where I hold it) and it does take a bit of beeswax to seal the nozzle now, but it is my old friend. Its action is like butter, and I will use it till the end. It was the first real airbrush I got (I was 14) and the only one I used for years.

I sold my HI-Line after I got a Creos, which I believe is an Iwata made AB go figure.

I love creos airbrushes. They feel just like Iwatas to me too. Both are quality all the way.

What I don't understand is that you have tested Harder and Steenbeck Airbrushes but do not show data of the spray angles on them so far?

This is what I have. Bought the thing years ago and it’s still going strong. I have the BH and don’t use the mac valve either but my favourite thing about this brush is the cup size. Is the difference in control really that noticeable between this and the micron? Christmas is coming, I need to let Santa know!
@theartworkshop2 жыл бұрын
it's such a great airbrush. I'm so glad I picked one up. The control/response of the trigger is identical to the micron to me. Both are perfect. The high performance just lets out more paint than the micron but it's still easy to control. I think the micron just spoiled me.

I'm looking at getting this airbrush and an Iwata HP c plus in great 2nd hand condition but have the option of an Iwata Eclipse brand new at the same price, I haven't used an airbrush for about 10 years but am after an airbrush to do mural work so what would you go for in this situation?

would I be able to add a rear handle for the iwata hp-b to a neo cn airbrush to have the needle stopping feature on my neo cn?
@Gemthermakleingk9 ай бұрын
Hi, thanks for the review. I was wondering: if you had to pick between this Iwata high performance plus hp-b and the iwata eclipse hp-cs, for plastic modeling and figures, which one you think is the best choice for a beginner?
@theartworkshop9 ай бұрын
oh man that's a good question- i love them both! I'd probably go eclipse since it's easier to clean and can be easier to spray thick paint with the larger nozzle. The hp-b is a little better for detail, but the eclipse can still do it. You can't go wrong with either. Best of luck to you!

Hi mate, Can I consider HP-CP as an upgrade from the Creos ps289?
@theartworkshop2 жыл бұрын
Haven't tried the 289 yet but, I love this HP line. Been using it more and more now. Yeah, I think the HP-CP is def an upgrade. Smaller needle/nozzle (if you go for the .2) and outstanding control. Imo, no one beats Iwata.

@@theartworkshopthan wait for the new Titanium noozle H&S Infinity 2024 💪🏻 But i still love my Takumi Micron. Can’t understand why Iwata dont use the Trigger of the Takumis not in the other types. This front edge of the trigger is the best of all guns and the short front because the new side cup design is outstanding!
@theartworkshopАй бұрын
@@ralfmeissnerMrErEm I can't wait to start painting with that new infinity. Already placed my order! I agree with you on the takumi trigger- it is perfect in every way. It spoiled me.
